I've used trend , mcafee , norton , kaspersky , spyware doctor with antivirus , Avast , windows , nod , f secure , sunbelt , bitdefender , panda , avg etc etc . never had luck with any of them. I would always get some thing in that they could not detect . vistied a page ones and what ever was on it went right through kaspersky then uninstalled it and turned my computer screen black . only luck i ever had keeping my computer safe was avira

Safe mode is build in Microsoft Windows.

If you are an Windows XP user, just keep tapping F5 and you'll go to the menu to choose an option, and click ''Boot in Safe mode.''

Safe mode is a program that blocks almost all files in ur PC, but you will be able to do the most things, and you can clean up your PC a bit safer.

yes i would recomend to change to avira

i have used avg and avast but avira is alot better

first avg never ever finds any virus's and it is very very bad at stopping drive by downloads as i got very basly infeted from using avg and going on one website that i thought was ok to go on

avast is ok but it has to many false posatives as avg,avira,nod32 and kaspersky all say im clean and avast says i have 3 when i don't

avira is the best and i would change to it as soon as posable!

ah, thanks. Im gonna teest it out a little in vmware ( virtual machine ) first. I think im gonna change now.. Cause i feel that Avast is not the best to remove viruses. only stop them from comming to your pc. :) Thanks againg..

I took you advice in my message and switched from just using ESET Smart Security to now using AntiVir + SUPERAntiSpyware LIFETIME key.

I did a system scan and found 27 viruses. I wouldnt of expected that many. Thanks for your help. I think the next step is to prevent any future serious breakouts by making a "Bootable AV CD" Thanks alot for your advice

Good choice on your mix of AM. I would also do a scan with malwarebytes as well.

That is ok..but then again only few people are going into safe mode.

the only reasone why u should go into safe is if u have some really really bad virus..other than that no need to..

safe mode stops all things that aren't core drivers including sound that means no viruses

Some viruses don't let you boot in safe mode if that happens your in trouble!

that would suck to download xp antivirus. I would be so pissed and scared. thank god for reviewers like you who let us know which av programs are good and which ones are not. I used to not be educated but mainly due to your videos I am able to surf safely with avira antivir, thank you. And just for fun try to do AVG 8 one more time to get rid of most of the nay sayers.

u should just scan in safe mode

u really dont need to scan in normal and then in safe..

Yeah, but I wanted to show people what they could expect without going into safemode (90% of my customers don't know what safemode is).

Personally I always scan with everything in safemode when I'm on a job.
