  • I like playing along with this on my Ibanez

  • Fav!!

  • I would say this is one of my favorites, but they all are my favorites. Saw him in Taos and he had a drummer named Jose Murdoch. I named my next cat after Jose.

  • SPECTACULAR!! Thank you.

  • really a good song.... good accords....

  • hmmm thats why eric clapton used to play so much with knopfler and dire straits

  • jj the man who perfected Cool

  • this song deserves more views :(

  • Wonderful, his songs are only too shorts.

  • no words to say...

  • Euphoria

  • this is music, best song of jj cale to me

  • smoooooth like butter

  • This guy is awesome.... looks like I will be adding to my set list.

  • Long time ago I heard this song for the first time and it blew me of my feet,

and now, listening to it again, after so many years it still touches my soul..

A trip down Memory Lane ......I can hardly listen to this great song without tears in my eyes....

  • he is a man.,,.,...

  • J.J. Cale was the first person I saw perform when I landed in Nashville in '78. My friend Benita Hill was singing backup for him and there were only a few of us in the audience.....but I was moved then and am still moved by his music.

  • i was 14 when i heard jj cale for the first time, now i am 43 and it stillblows my mind away.

what can i say? you`re the man.....

  • The greatest ever guitar player.

  • Greatest living guitar player.

  • heard this on United States Of Tara 2x02! lovely song.

  • Wonderfull!

    All the best from Serbia.

  • Sila je JJ cale, brate, sila! Ovo je cista klasa!

  • JJ Cale's music is one of the best things in my life. No doubt.

  • JJ is all about "less is more" Saw him at Hammersmith in '93 and he shuns all the adulation and fame stuff. He plays and sings phenominal music as if he's sittin on his porch and the sound and playin sends ears into raptures. Listen to "Magnolia"and I reckon it could make you fall in love with your own mother in law!

  • JJ Cale is a giant. I heard Neil Young in an interview say " I'll

never be able to play guitar like say someone like JJ Cale"

    Says alot.

  • I love this song, too.

  • In a world of over-the-top,manufactured music,JJ Cales laid back,"real" songs sound better than ever.

  • JJ Cale went to my High School in

Tulsa, He was a couple grades

behind me. He and Leon Russell were

both from Tulsa. Eric Clapton, Leon

Russel and JJ worked together on

their music. I never met him but my

    brother-in-law knew him they lived

    in the same neighborhood.

  • you're showing your age, so how old are you now?

    146?

lol, I kid I kid. actually it's kinda cool that you went to the same school as the legend.

  • I graduated in 53. I have always liked the old R&B songs. The high school I went to had quite a few musicians who became well known. I believe David Gates who was with Bread was from Tulsa. and Eldon Bishop. The 50's were alot of fun. So different from today. I will be 75 in February.

  • oh nice, I'm glad you have a sense of humor and didn't take offense at my dry attempt at humor.

    all the best.

  • My whole family has a sense of humor, .

My husband was a Marine when I married

him, so I have heard just about everything

    imaginable.LOL. I can't imagine how boring

life would be if you coudn't "let your hair

down" once in awhile. I just sent my son

a fudge "Cow Pattie" from Georgia for

his birthday. It was nestled in a box of fake

green grass, complete with the cow that

dropped it. LOL Have a fun day.

  • Love this song. I'd like to hear him and Tom Waits do this one.

  • Those "strange to humanity and the life thatshould also run int otheir blood " -who am i to know??? are the most deadly useless rapasses .All the others just happen to be born not-in-your-area or from coloured mothers or in other nations...You know a real utter STRANGER when you see one hé.

  • If you listen to Knopflers ''Water of love'' You can hear some JJ Cale in it.

  • if you listen to any of knopfler stuff you can here jj cale. the whole way he sings is in jj cales style and his guitar style has hints of jj laid backness.

  • I love this song

  • this song is the best song of jJJcale, from me,a master of this particular rythm and blues, very natural, real good!!!

  • He's not flashy. He plays with his whole heart and I love him.

  • I never knew Mark Knopfler played with JJ Cale

  • JJ Cale is an idol to Knopfler!

  • I know that. But I found nothing indicating they ever played together until I saw this vid with the jj cale mk foto :D

  • @rosharris I dont think Mark has played with JJ Cale. However, Mark has drawn a lot of inspiration from JJ Cale...

  • @kumarabhishekjha they definitely should play together some day :) i think they have a very similar cool and layed back style.

  • @kumarabhishekjha : I didn't think so either,'till I watched this vid ;-)

  • @rosharris

idd :D thats were the famous picking comes from :) or at least the inspired sound

  • @rosharris JJ Cale is an Idol to Clapton and many others too - Clapton changed his way to play the guitar, completely, after hearing JJ's playing, and Knopfler, he just listened very carefully how to play in a cool way :) JJ Cale is God and both Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler are his talented disciples. JJ is the coolest man alive, easy.

  • @AndyMayBee

jj is the coolest, he's the father :-)

  • Rediscovered JJ Cale after all these years Susle51 // Switzerland

  • what a sexy voice

  • LOVE JJ CALE! MMMMMMMM that voice!

  • take me back to the late 1970's.........

  • yes, this is theeeee sound......

  • My main man.

  • Ummm, laid back JJ.

From the '71 'no budget' independent album Naturally. It remains one of my favorites to this day.

    Thanks rosharris 5*z
