Spectacular spider-Man was the best. Peter (in that show) was probably the best interpretation of how Peter Parker lives his life. The 90s series was good too, but that show was just a bit too corny for me (probably because I wasn't old enough to experience it when it first came out).

Sony who produced Spectacular gave up the animation rights to keep the film rights. So sony no longer has the rights they cant produce it annymore.

I wasn't a fan of the art style either but the animation was better than any Spider-Man show to date as wasthe writing on the show. I take it the art put you off and you never actually watched it? Watch the series first and then if you don't like it, fair enough. But to compare the writing with Spectacular and the '95 series and try to tell me it was better? That's got to be a joke!

Oh wait... that was you! 95 featured a main character that wasn't allowed to punch his foes only push them or throw them and I loved the recycled animation they used every other ep as well! I liked the 95 show back in the day but it doesn't hold up well today especially next to Spectacular. There's a reason that Spectacular is acclaimed by both fans and critics!

@jesse10022 So you wrote off the show because of the animation style...? For one thing, the action scenes were much better on SS than the 95 version and the story lines were much more thought out. That Shakespeare episode was pure genius, nothing from the 95 series can compare, not even the epic Spawn and Carnage sagas. I loved the 95 version but SS was simply better, the only thing 95 had over it was the fact that it lasted longer and was slightly "darker."
