P.S. I watched t.v. from the Westin Santa Fe Hotel in Mexico City for a little over a month. Beautiful city.

Watched this movie last night and was blown away. The plot line was so simple yet still mangled to keep me completely interested the entire time. Highly recommended

Jenny's father was totally useless. He was trying to sell his daughter away to a man with a shiny red car so that he didn't have to pay for her education.....I thank god that some situations aren't real. lol

The movie glorifies sex between a mature man and a 16 year old. It vilifies Jews, repeatedly emphasizing that the religion of the protagonist is Jewish. He is a wife cheating, thieving, exploiter of a child. The message of the film is basically anti Jewish and it is achieved through good acting. I can't imagine how the actors in this movie could have been complicit with the message they were delivering. The motives of those producing this film are horribly clear.

@chesykin97  If you ever get the chance to see the alternative to the movie please check it out! With hard work she ended up at Oxford and he went to prison...very different ending. But I agree with you..I'd opt for the second choice too. lol

....it was one of the out takes and scenes cut from the movie. If you buy the movie dvd or rent it you will get to see it after the movie credits are over.

I wish that they had kept the part where David drives over to Oxford and tells Jenny that he had gone to jail for over 100 things that he had stolen so that he could start over with her.

She told him that she had gotten her life back and walked back to her young boyfriend who was inside Oxfords gate holding her bike..waiting.

I hope that you find it. It sure changes the movie and I think that everyone who gets this movie (I mean really GETS it) should see both endings.

I saw it today and was a bit disappointed, I expected something really huge. The whole film is really good, Carey Mulligan is amazing and her character too, but I think it's the rest of the film who isn't that great next to Carey.

I didn't like David the first time I saw him. I really wished she ends up with Danny, but then it would be an whole different story.
