Your rhythm is good, Just a bit more of a vision for the beat. Although all the fills are cool, they dont add anything to the song. Ronald jenkees uses a heavy hip hop style. Try to work on stylizing your beat a bit more and you will sound much better. Overall though, very nice work.

drums sound decent, I think you should have your mics pick up more highs, esp in the drums. Playing is good but this is hip-hop so the playing should be more tame, I mean if you want to keep Jenkins' feel. ?love said that the hardest thing about hip hop is self control, you can't play in a funk style and keep the feel. But it's good for what you made it, thats just a tip for you if u cont to play hiphop, esp profesionally

I see people giving out critiques and suggestions on technique on you, but chances are that they're all no better than you so ignore them(you're probably doing so already anyways). I've done many recordings too and I know how hard it is to make a 3minute recording without making a single mistake, and you did a 5minute recording almost perfectly. It would've probably taken me so many takes to do one like yours.

@Wildensdrums Yeah, you don't want to have your stick's head maybe more than six inches above the drum's surface at any given time, barring moving between drums. Having a consistent, low stick height makes it a lot easier to have reliably precise hits.
