The most underated infectious beat ever created in hip hop beats like this back in the days can move you get deep into you where is this kind of beats now?
this was the FIRST record i ever bought with my own money as kid. i had a paper route and rode my BMX bike all the way to the record store and bought it. remember those things...? paper routes, actual record stores, and BMX bikes...? LOL
My dad bought me this bak in 84 on a compilation break rec called .. Electric Breakdance .. if anyone has this rec .. hang on to it .. even came with a break/pop poster .. NYC Breakers .. timeless cuts.
I cant listen to this anymore becuase I am about to cry, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING THIS ON HERE, I miss the 70s and 80s. I am so blessed to be from this generation, I Love it!
Thumbs up if u came here becuz of "Beat street"

I found this on vinyl at a car boot sale after hearing Westwood play it - I got it for 20 pence, but I would have paid £200 for it. Pure classic!

i never heard the instrumental version before. i have the rap version on my "tommy boy's greatest beats" original vinyl compilation.
was just checking to see if this had already posted as i'm putting any forgotten tunes i have on here in HQ.

Thank you.
G.L.O.B.E. is one of the guys of Afrikaa Bambaataa & The Soulsonic force who had a monsterhit solo with this tune.
It think it;s such a good tune that I enjoy listening this instrumental with the same ease as the vocal version!
