I am enlisting in one year and entering the DEP. Ill be sent to bootcamp in 2012. I decided to get the 11x option 40 contract. For you liberals it means I'm going to be an Army Ranger. I decided to do this ALL BY MYSELF. I have NEVER contacted a recruiter, EVER. Recruiters are not to blame. As these stupid liberals bang on the drums, a U.S. partol, walking harmlessly returning back to HQ could get amushed and shot at by these so called "civilians". Go fuck urselfs hippies!
I am pro military. Now I know you expect me to say how you should be thankful for the troops who died for your rights or even call names. No that isn't how we as adults need to deal with issues. And some people in the military do question our presence in iraq, but that doesn't make it ok for some kids to protest in front of a military recruiting center. you ignorant angsty brats have no idea what goes on over there, or how many other operations other than war the military is involved with. such as disaster relief, humanitarian assistance, peacekeeping operations just to name a few. find a more useful cause. stop abusing your freedom of speech.

The United States military is one of the ONLY militaries in the world that is an all volunteer force. No one is forced to serve. Or we could just bring the draft back. If those numbers are true, who do you think is killing them? Most of the combat in Iraq is in an urban enviroment, door to door street by street(look up Fallujah). When insurgents mix with civilians innocnet people die because its hard to decipher who the enemy is and who isnt, and just the other day 250 people were killed when a suicide bomber struck a crowded market. now i dont support the war, but i support my troops (U.S. Army Military Intelligence in two years myself).
The reason in joining the army is because it gives me a sense of pride to do the job and wear the uniform, but people protesting like this need to understand the way world politics work. We demilitarize in Iraq now, insurgents take over the country politically and in 5 to 10 years we have to redeploy troops there to handle an ORGANIZED terrorist regime thats more than willing to attack us. and if that happens then we basically create another Afghanistan
because you must realize Bin Laden is alive somewhere in Pakistan, the Taliban is very well funded and they have the means to rebuild their regime; and an unoccupied lawless place like Iraq would be home to every terrorist cell in the middle east. So rapid demilitarization in Iraq would bring us full circle back to 9/11 but worse this time.
and one more point, its not the recruiters fault that there is a war going on, the military dosent start wars, politicians and terrorists do. recruiters simply have a job to do and they have quotas to fill in order to make money in that job. Soldiers may appear "fine," and some may be, but I haven't personally gotten close to a single one that didn't at least wake up screaming because of nightmares. Just because they can keep their issues hidden in public and haven't sought treatment, doesn't mean they're "fine". My perspective is not at all based on media. And some people in the military do question our presence in iraq, but that doesn't make it ok for some kids to protest in front of a military recruiting center. you ignorant angsty brats have no idea what goes on over there, or how many other operations other than war the military is involved with. such as disaster relief, humanitarian assistance, peacekeeping operations just to name a few. find a more useful cause. stop abusing your freedom of speech.

If those numbers are true, who do you think is killing them? Most of the combat in Iraq is in an urban enviroment, door to door street by street(look up Fallujah). When insurgents mix with civilians innocnet people die because its hard to decipher who the enemy is and who isnt, and just the other day 250 people were killed when a suicide bomber struck a crowded market. now i dont support the war, but i support my troops (U.S. Army Military Intelligence in two years myself).

We demilitarize in Iraq now, insurgents take over the country politically and in 5 to 10 years we have to redeploy troops there to handle an ORGANIZED terrorist regime thats more than willing to attack us. and if that happens then we basically create another Afghanistan

because you must realize Bin Laden is alive somewhere in Pakistan, the Taliban is very well funded and they have the means to rebuild their regime; and an unoccupied lawless place like Iraq would be home to every terrorist cell in the middle east. So rapid demilitarization in Iraq would bring us full circle back to 9/11 but worse this time.
