I don't think a ww1 rts would be fun to play (my opinion though). Basically that would be:

1. use artillery, planes, snipers, gaz on ennemy trenches to weaken them

2. Launch assault with infantry and tanks and hope some of them make it to the other side

3. Take positions in the new trench and repeat to 1.

In ww1 there is basicaly no "maneuvre" (not sure about spelling). However with 10k units that would be spectacular =). Personnaly, i vote for a rtw 2.

I hope the make a total war game set during the 1600´s, it really seems to me that they just ignored that era.

Play the Americas campaign in the Medieval 2 Total war: Kingdoms expansion. I believe it's placed in late 1500's and the 1600's

I have played that, its placed in the first half of the 1500´s. I still miss a true 1600´s game.

We'll then there's nothing to be done. After they finish Napoleon, they won't be visiting the gunpowder era for quite a while I think.

They'll probably either do one based in WW1 or 2 or maybe do based in Ancient and Medieval times.

I don´t think that they will do a WW2 game, maybe a WW1 game. WW2 just wont fit in a total war game.

yeah all they can really do is build massive plain fields and throw some stupid soldiers at each toehr that if to condenced just glitch up and run away

the last thing i would see is ww1, ww2 tw or modern tw cause if i want modern warfare i play world in conflict if i want to play ww2 warfare i play company of heroes and there is a reason there hadnt been made a ww1 game and that because it would be really boring most of the time they were simply watching each other now how fun would that be??

Total war can do it.

WWI Trenches: In Empire inf can entrench next to fences. Why not dig trenches into the ground during deployment?

Planes: TW was able to create naval battles. Why not dogfights?

Tanks: They've made cataphract horse archers before. Tanks are like cataphract horse archers on steroids.

It will probablly take another three years to make a "Modern: Total War" just like Empire took about three years maybe less.

i know! there is not one good ww1 rts we want a good fucking ww1 rts and ubisoft is the only to do it right and its the next big era in the series so lets just hope and if u could send a email to ubisoft and tell them we want ww1!

that is true, the simulated battles would be incredibly alot longer, because of all the trenches in WW1, and i think that maps would have to be alot bigger
