Yo, Vade; I love this vlog, man and I started at the beginning. Speaking of transplanting grafts, have you ever heard of grafting a marijuana plant on top of a Hops root system? Hops plants are apparently related to weed and grow enormous colas - 14' tall!
i use grafting for keeping many moms and keeping my plant numbers down ...with grafting i can keep 5 strains on 1 plant .....so if i can only have 10 plants on my script 1 can still keep 9 to flower and still be a strain junkie lol
thanks a lot for answering my question in that much detail bro! as far as the 10-20% runoff, water and nutes arent an issue i dont wanna run into any salt build up issues. im gonna be using house and garden coco a&b along with other additives. what are your thoughts on running a mini flush for a day or 2 between rez changes as opposed to daisy chaining reservoirs? just not sure what to expect with coco and want to take a proactive approach
I run no drain to waste, in pure coco. Some plants only get waterd twice a week, and some 3 times a week. I never water every day, unless they take it up every day. I wait till the pot is pretty light, but not making hte plant wilt. Pretty much if i cant feel water, 3 inches below the top, i water. I do a mid cycle flush though, for salt build up.
I use 2 bamboo stakes, for each plant. Put them in around the end of week 2. This is my first time doing untoped plants, and ive tied about 6-10 branches, to just theos 2 bamboo sticks. I just put 1 on each side of the mane stalk, about 4 inches from it. Then tie the mane stalk to the bamboo sticks, to stableise everything. Then I run ties from each branch, to 1 bamboo stick. Im on day 35 right now, and im able to tie everything that droops, up to the bamboo. Pluss i stabbed them in, early.
My grandpa has an apple tree that was "grafted" each branch is a different kind of apple. Some are red, some are green. Some are big and sweet, and some are sour. I wanted to take a plant that has like 6 tops. Cut off 5, but leave one, and cut notches into the scars, where the branches were, then graft, other strains, into the notches. Have a plant that grows 6 different strains. Wouldnt work too good with feeding, unless you had 6 strains that would work, in teh same resivor.

He said from "healty vegetive material" but he also said" I dont belive in genetic drift" but he just said, only from healthy vegetive material, but first said he doenst belive in it. He on his 30-50th generation of alot of his strains. His Jacks Cleaner male, is like 40 times clone, of a clone, of a clone. I keep mother plants because ive seen drift, even on plants that werent that bad off, when cloned.
Are your lights on seperate brakers? I had to have 3 lights, on 3 different 15 amp services, untill i got a Helios. Now i can have 4 lights, on 1 30 amp service, because its 240v. I also have enough room to fit about 8 amps of 110v, for my fans and AC. The 240v plugs on the side, can take a 120v plug, from your ballast. You just have to have the other end into the part where it says 240v, on the ballasts, but its the 120v cord.

Also you guys if your running soil ur gonna wanna ph to 6.5 to get the most nutrients.... in hydro 5.8 is where you get most of the nutes, google nutrient ph uptake chart to see what im talkng about, i just learned this today i run soil and have been ph, to 5.8 since i started still get good results but man now i should get even better results! hope this helps guys

Questions, what micron screen are you using and do you think a bubble bag will be ass effective or is it the best to use a full piece of screen. It looked like the yield was way better than dry sift, did you find that to be the case?
@VaderOG...i know a few people in holland who graft diff strains onto the one main plant,they do this to preserve strains when limited to working with 6 large(mothers) plants not in flower,so they can keep 6 plants but way more diff strains,really crazy to see one plant with like 5 strains growing on/from it.......very smart !
Love your vids man. Your a great teacher, the belt was a good touch! My favourite cheap DIY method is. using a bucket with lid, cutting out the inner part of the lid as close to the seam as possible with a jig saw, take the lid off, clean your bucket lol, span your silkscreen over the top and when you put the lid on it will pull the screen nice and tight, I also shake it into a big metal salad bowl. allows for quick reloads and is easy to clean :)
if someone started their seedlings in soil/compost in 500mle pots.. could they repot them in coco with coco nutes (canna line)without running into major issues ??
