@KIXHF Feedback is just as much a factor of unstable circuitry as anything. When a circuit exceeds unity (marked with the center 0's or U's on knobs and faders) it becomes unstable and prone to oscillation. Add a mic and speaker in to the equation, point them at eachother and run for the hills. Its similar to when you have two mirrors facing eachother, but those repeated images become repeated pressure changes which are the definition of sound. the more it repeats, the higher the frequency.
