@1113stve They technically are to that point; it's just a lot more space-saving to heavily compress the mp3's they use in DS games. When you're talking an absolute maximum cartridge size of 256MB, you unfortunately can't go throwing around high-bitrate mp3's. Not to mention, it's taxing on the DS's hardware, which not only can't really handle very high bitrates, but also doesn't have the audio hardware to even make it worth it.

Forgive the tirade there. :P
