  • Great Job! You can groove dude.........

  • Cheers @suncoastman1 and thanks for saying so !

  • iaaaaaawwoo!!

  • doooo dooo beeee dooooo

  • Superb. WTG! I will not let you see me go green with envy. I would love to be able to play this on keyboard.

    Thanks.

P.S. The one that has put a dislike does not appreciate good music no matter who has played it.

  • You want to swap hands? That sound just vibrates the room! Thanks for all those house of practice you put in over the years.

  • Great job, great instrument, good taste !!!

  • Man, great playing and great sound!!! :)

Is that a Leslie 2101 sound I'm listening?

    Are you also kickin' pedals?

Man, that is my dream rig.

  • Thanks @gcpezzi ! And yeh I'm playing the bass pedals, and you're right - it's a Leslie 2101.

  • could you please do a tutorial on this?

  • Great playing!

  • great!

  • Thanks!

  • Great sound - I have this setup myself, so can you give me the drawbars settings for both the lower and upper manual? It really sounds fantastic :)

  • @CableguyDK - you asked what the drawbar settings are. Try this for a start - the upper keyboard with the first three drawbars all fully on - and the lower keyboard with the first drawbar fully on, the second drawbar on either 3 or 4, and the third drawbar fully on. If you have the chorus on, set it to "C3". If you have the percussion on, set it to "3rd" and "soft". See how you get on... Thanks for liking it, S.B.

  • the 1 person who dislikes this cant play worth crap. How did you learn to play like this?

  • Bravo!!!!

  • T h a n k s ! ! ! !

  • Good video and well played. Thank you

Nice to see there are more experts out there than players. Hope you manage to get the operation on your appendage soon johntechwriter and I look forward to your video showing us how it should be done.

  • love the cover! great to learn how to play this amazing song! the only thing is that the bass line is wrong, but still sounds great.

  • @Jaskarsis I'm glad you liked it so much and thanks for your comment. Especially about the bass line - if it's "wrong, but still sounds great" then I must be some kind of genius eh? Splendid, SB.

  • (please forgive my iPad's annoying spellchecker.)

  • @johntechwriter - Good stab at using an iPad.

  • Good stab at The Cat, though it's a bit slow and you're playing the pedals with the wrong appendage. LOL My B3 days are ling behind me but I'm curious about those controls at the far legs, above the presets. Drum machine?

  • The "controls above the presets at the far legs" operate a digital hammond organ spellchecker. My days of using it "are ling behind me" so feel free to borrow it any time. SB.

  • Love that sound!

  • Thanks "@mikeylj87" (I've always liked the sound of the Hammond organ too) All the best, SB.

  • Excellent - truly excellent - !

  • @keithappleton Blimey, thanks!

  • great job

  • @yippie21 Thanks for that, good of you to say so.

  • The most impressive interpretation of The Cat in Youtube!. And what great equipment is this XK-3C, the sounds are very close to the B-3 from Mr. Smith.

    Keep your mojo working, man!

  • @Baretta73 - blimey high praise from you indeed, thank you very much!

  • Great playing..superb...give us more :-))

    thanks from a Swedish hammondfan..............

  • Did you learn this by ear or can I find a sheet Music for this? :)

  • Superb! Thanks for uploading!

  • Thanks "tmsbandman" glad you liked it (and flattered to see that you added it to your favourites. Blimey).

All the best to you from England in the jolly old United Kingdom. S.B.

  • Groooovin man !

  • WOW really great!

  • @tvseal0001 - wow, thanks a lot!

  • Great there are a lot of crap versions of this on YouTube, I'm sure Jimmy would have liked it, nice groove. Could you tell me what speaker system you are playing though?

  • Thanks "Organasum" nice of you to say. As far as the speaker system goes -it's a Leslie speaker and it's called a Leslie 21. Cheers for your kind comments.

    SB.

  • NIce one man!

  • Ok, so it isn't identical to JS's version. Well if I wanted to listen to the original I'd, like, listen to the original. I like this version - great playing. Good to see you keeping the bass line going.

  • ohh yeah man...you´re great !!!!!

  • @KingAlex1994 - Blimey, what a nice thing to say - thanks a lot!

  • isn't correct

  • @lcanapini - hey nice to meet you, glad you really liked it. Appreciated.

  • @SidneyBishop priceless answer :) vintage doesn't have to be 100% as long as it grooves and has the right theme

  • You sound to white man. You need some soul.

  • @rangerrig You sound like a racist fool.

  • Awesome!

  • hi, do u have sheet music for this because i cant find any.

    thanks scott

  • Great stuff man... Respect..

  • Awesome!

Do you play in a band and what area?

  • @gibsonsg31 Glad you like it and yeh I do play in bands - currently doing gigs here and there but mostly in London with a band called THE DUPLICATES

  • Hi SidneyBishop, it was a gift for my ears, thanks a lot! Would be it possible to caputre your incredible play of this song with an overhead camera? I'm sure, many people would be appreciate it! Alfatull

  • Ive just realised who you are!! As youre a man whos been lucky enough to play the real tonewheel beasts,(i met you & saw you playing a C3 with Madness in 1985)how do you think the XK3 compares. Ive finally managed to achieve my dream & own a XK3c & a Leslie 3300.I think they sound incredible.I wondered if youd be kind enough to take a look at my Green onions cover & my other stuff as i know youve played these songs too.Cheers.

  • That was absolutely brilliant.Your playing is incredible & your XK3 sounds awesome.

  • Dear @MrNuttylee7

Thanks for your very kind message. Much appreciated & all the best to you.

    SB.

  • do you play this through a real leslie?

  • Yeh "danitz56" it's through a Leslie 21.

  • Nice! I like it slower like this - it sounds nastier. :) Great job.

  • Thanks "bworden". All the best to you,

    S.B.
