Thats what they call a Hospital Train W/6 dead Units. 8 total = alot of tonage going to the engine house for repairs

I've seen that happen here on CSX's Boston & Albany line sometimes-I think the extra engines are usually dead-in-tow en route to the engine servicing facility at Beacon Park

Wow theres more power then there are cars. I saw a Twin City's and Western train once with a GP15C at the lead followed by a CF7 slug and GP20C. The train was only two boxcars long.

All 8 units wouldn't be online, maybe 3 or 4. And that was actually only one car, 5 wells. I haven't heard anything about a quiet zone being put in through Flagstaff, I work the Seligman sub sometimes, and it's kinda scairy going through these crossings, lots of people always right there.

Here In NC when i'm out train spotting, I've seen in Intermodal Show with only 10 cars and 3 NS Dash 9s.

Usual it is almost 100 cars with 3 to 4 units in the consist.
