  • I'm very divided when it comes to the Tudors. On the one hand I feel sorry for Catherine of Aragon, but on the other hand she refused to give up her claim as Henry's one true wife and therefore stopped herself from seeing Mary again before she died. I understand that was doing what she thought was right, but I would but my child before anything else. Also, I do love Anne Boleyn. She was a fiercely intelligent woman, and neither her nor Catherine deserved their fates.

  • @ChubbyNessaMoore - If Catherine of Aragon had agreed to the divorce then, by doing so, she would have willingly allowed her daughter to be officially labeled a bastard. If that had happened then Mary would have been put away quickly and quietly, and she would never have been queen. That is why Catherine stood strong, there is no other reason. She could have happily hopped on a ship and sailed back to Spain to live out her days in happiness, but she stayed and suffered for her daughter, Mary.

  • The catherin and Anne, both very strong. The two daughters of her way to a great pair.

  • In my opinion Mary and Catherine always hated the wrong person for the divorce Anne was not the one who stud at the alter and vowed to Love Honor cherish Catherine for batter or worse for richer or for poorer in sickness and in Health and people hated Anne because she refused to be the kings whore? WTF

  • @PrincessKarrah Exactly! blame HENRY not Anne!

  • @annemolly57 Thank you

  • @annemolly57 exactly. Anne didn't mean any harm, and she loved Henry, and Henry loved her, and she tried to bring Mary back to court, yet she didn't because Mary refused. Which actually was a good move. Anyways, Henry wanted his heir, he thought Anne annoying, she was more strong than him, and he didn't love her anymore. Especially after she was accused of treason.

  • I loved this royal Tudor Mother and Daughter best.Kathrine was so strong, gracefully, and loving.Mary turned out teh way she did because her father was just horrible to her and her mother. They were trated so badly but held themselves very well throughout it all.

  • I have to wonder, how would any of us turn out if we had to go through what she did, with no support, nothing other than vague promises and being left with nothing to even help her get over it, like therapy or anything.

  • This was beautiful,

  • Bloody mary was a bloody idiot. Who else would come to the idea to re-reform a country? I hate her... Elizabeth was much better.

  • to me there no questing Mary Head a hard life but I dont think that she head the right to Burn people like wood and I think she always blamed the wrong people for that hard life it was NOT ALL Anne's fault her father devorced her mom or broke with Rome or that he disowned hwe for so long Henry deserves alot of the blame to

  • @PrincessKarrah I don't know how on earth someone would cope with going through what Mary had to. Going from being the Heir and having lived most of her life an exalted royal, to being illigitimate. Since birth she's been a princess and then, on an unprecedented move, became Princess of Wales in her own right, something not done for centuries. To lose that and then go through the rest, would seriously warp anyone.

  • Many people claim that Anne Boleyn was the better mother, rather than Katherine of Aragon who clung to her title. That is untrue. Katherine was desperate to keep her title because, if not, then Mary would be declared illegitimate. She loved Mary whereas Anne was severely disappointed when she had Elizabeth...

  • @gOtHiCxAnGeLxox If Anna had really loved Elizabeth should have been more care to control his temper if she was "so smart"

  • @astrofabio68 - True. Even still, I can't help but pity Anne Boleyn. No one deserves to die as she did...

  • @gOtHiCxAnGeLxox agree

  • Well done!

  • This show actually somehow manipulated me into liking someone who burned hundreds of people alive. Still sad though to think of the cruelty of a father separating mother and daughter.

  • @cyclopticxander ahhh right because the movies about Elizabeth doesn`t manipulate to show her like a great queen when all those who worked with hersaid they were paralyzed qhe she had to decide

and she kill many irish people becasue their catholics..

    come on!

  • aw sad and cute!

  • This is beautiful movie...Kathrine really struggled for her daughter...and this shows the wonderful realtionship that these two powerful women shared

  • amazing beautiful it must have been so heartbreaking for the both of them when they were told they could no longer see eachother

  • I love what Catalina de Aragón tells to her daughter: "Be strong my daughter. Remember who you are; The decendent of ISABELLA and FERNANDO of CASTILLE" Wow, she, Mary Tudor, really came from true kings and queens.

  • Right when I saw the title to this video, I was ready to cry and I am now! Catherine and Mary were torn apart but always had a strong bond, they had to stick together through all of the rulers who disliked them and feared their revenge.

  • This is such a touching video. Rest in Peace and God Bless Catherine!

  • what clip is 3.00?? (Young mother with her child - I thing its not from Tudors)

  • Its not, its a clip from David Starkey's documentary on the Six Wives of Henry VIII, the first part which focusses on Katherine of Aragon, and that scene is taken from the birth of Mary Tudor.

  • It was very sad... their end (I'm not tlking about the video. I love it!) But you know... The good thins is, right now, Catherine and Mary are in Heaven... together...

  • I know that The Tudors makes Mary out to be a sweet girl, and I'm sure she was as a child...however, she did cause the burning deaths of thousands of people, just because they didn't agree with her Religion.

  • Even I like the real truth between the two women, this video touches my heart!

  • Mary was a lovely young girl - reddish hair and a real beauty from contemporary portraits.

  • :'] Beautiful.

  • Of all of Henry's wives, my 1st favorite has always been Katherine of Aragon (my mom's name is Kathryn, by the way) and of his children Mary has always been the most significant to me (my first name is Mary lol). I did a paper on Mary last year and hope it made the alias she has so unfairly received (Bloody Mary) go away a little.

  • Catherine of Aragon is absolutely my favorite. I Admire her strength above all others. I believe that the name "Bloody Mary" is entirely unfair, look at the poor girls childhood, and hey, she still Marries the king of Spain!

  • i know. my favorites are Anne and Elizabeth but i love Katherine and i like Mary too.

  • mine too! i love Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth but i love Katherine too!

  • @EmmasNext Speaking as a disinherited, re-inherited son, I have to agree, Mary in history is given far to harsh a judgement. First she watches her mother betrayed by her father, then watches the whore Anne take her mother's place: Anne's daughter usurping her inheritance, then again to be pushed aside for a yet another sibling. I can say that I do not now, nor shall I ever show mercy or compassion to my "stepmother" or her half bred spawn. Mary is her Mother and her Father in one being.

  • @EmmasNext Long Live Mary Tudor R.I.P Mary Tudor

  • @EmmasNext Long Live Mary Tudor R.I.P Mary Tudor and to me she wasnt bloody mary but she was a saint i loathe Elizabeth mostly because im catholic

  • @ZoeCEubanks you have no reason to loathe her. she compromised with catholics and was considered politique. read up before you denounce the amiable character of one of the best, if not the best of monarchs england ever saw. mary was no saint, though i do admire her confidence in this show, but she never compromised with protestants or any other religion alike. elizabeth may have been protestant, but she was not violent or forceful in her beliefs she did forever transition england to anglicanism

  • What Spanish Descendent requese it?

  • I agree that there are some bad choices out there, but I think this one goes great with the video. So what if it's Phil Collins? So what if it's from a Disney movie? It fits Queen Catherine and Princess Mary. That's all that really matters.

  • Mary's killer stare on 3.36-37. Instant 5 stars.

  • Oh agreed! I would hate to get THAT death glare

  • i knoooow, i love it. you know shes thinking " bitch " but shes got that smile at the same time. i practice making that face in the mirror

  • this is so sad and beutiful it brings tears to my eyes

  • Amazing and sad the first time I watched this I cried

  • This video is absolutely heartbreaking... but beautiful. Great job!

  • This video was sad, but it was also VERY BEAUTIFUL. It really showed the love between a mother and daughter.

  • i think that is the saddest relationship in this film...

    great video. 5*.xD

  • 4:01 is the saddest part in the entire series, in my opinion. It still makes me teary eyed when I watch it.

  • i see the spaniards with too much black in their clothes, make thought they were the villians of this history at the beginning hahaha

  • Hey can you do one about Edward and Jane Seymour. Even though he never even saw his mother he must of loved her. Even though he is dead i feel sorry for Edward he never meeted his mum and had a tough time telling people what to do at the age of 9 and dieing at 16 aww its soo sad.

  • I must say that this video brought tears to my eyes just thinking about what Anne and Henry put them threw....That is so wrong! I love Katherine and Mary. Beautiful job. ♥

  • I have commented before, but I love this video!! The song fits perfectly - It really is very good :)

I just wondered, where did you get the clips from? Because I need some more of Katherine and I can't find any! If you could tell me the site or whatever i'd be very grateful! Tnanks xx

  • I dont particularly like the way mary dealt with it, but she was a coragious woman and i dont think i could have coped with what she went through. Also I think Catherine is my favourite Queen because even when she knew she was beaten she kept her dignity. Two very admirable ladies.

  • i,m gonna cry god job good bless catherine

  • anne boleyn was around six months pregnant during her coronation. Mary earned the name bloody mary for killing protestants but who could blame her? On the oath that she didn't sign stated that she had to make herself a bastard and recognize a King as the head of the church. If you were a princess would you like to be stripped of your title just because your father wanted to marry another woman?

  • I do agree that there was no way Mary would have stepped down for Anne. That's one of the reasons I like her.

  • LOVE THIS!!! 5 stars, fav!

  • astrofabio68

Henry was considering divorcing Katherine before Anne Boleyn even came into the picture. She didnt even want to be with the King, She was in love with Henry Percy. But when that was broken off and the kings mounting attentions for her ( and no doubt pressure from her family)Got more intense she ceased her oppitunity. And yes they had sex about 4-5 months before actually getting married, But keep in mind their courtship went on for SEVERAL YEARS.. Btw she used her charm, not sex.

  • I love this song and the video is excelent!

Catherine is one of my favourites history character, same to Marie.

An both actresses are excelent! :)

The tudors is one of my favourite series!

  • I think it was a really sweet video. Some people forget about Mary and Katherine and this showed just how much they loved eachother. :D

  • thanks for putting it back

  • I'm so glad this is back on! I recently searched for it and thought it was gone. Many thanks for reloading it! It's a wonderful tribute to the relationship between Catherine and Mary. Please keep it!

  • omg you put it back on thank you

  • Henry was a wretched man, almost as horrible and heartless as Anne Boleyn.

    Hail Mary, Full of Grace!

  • Right, because it was Anne Boleyn who was in charge of what happened to Mary and Katharine. How was she horrible and heartless? I'm so sick of this blame the women thing. It was Henry who was in charge, who pursued Anne to the point of sexually harrassing her, who couldn't take no for an answer. Anne didn't pursue the king or the position of queen and she had nothing to do with how Mary and Katharine were treated.

  • well, some things are truth, but she hated mary and some people even said that she encouraged to the people around mary to hit her...

She wasn´t the most horrible person of the world, but she wasn´t an angel my friend

  • But was she ever hit? That's my point. Anne may not have liked her but she had no power or say as to what happened with Mary; Henry did and he was cruel to her because she refused to give him what he wanted which was absolute submission to his will. Mary's treatment had more to do with Henry than Anne.

  • i agree with you in some things, Henry was a really bad father, and he really treat Mary like she wasn´t her daugther, he put her away from her mother, and a lot of other stuff, and then she trat bad to Elizabeth.

But even with all that, you can´t tell me that Anne was a saint (i do like her by the way), and that she was a victim of everything

  • Oh no, I'd never go so far as to proclaim her a saint. She was a flawed human being just like the rest of us. But I get so fed up with people who shift responsibility from Henry to her just because she was the "other woman". It's ridiculous. She was a queen, not the king and ultimately Henry did what he wanted.

  • How did Anne Boleyn use sex to get Henry? All she told him was that she wouldn't submit to a man who wasn't her husband; ultimately it was up to him to move on to the next woman but he chose to continue to pursue her. And Henry had already been doubting the validity of his marriage; Anne was simply the catalyst that put his doubts into action. She was never after power or queenship; she hoped that Henry would lost interest and move on. Obviously that didn't happen.

  • I love how everyone is so certain of Anne's motives. They're always so quick to judge "the other woman" instead of putting the blame where it belongs. Anne was never interested in Henry; she didn't pursue him, she rebuffed him as politely as she could but ultimately he was her king and she had no choice in the matter. I'm sure the idea of being queen excited her, as it would anyone, but it was never her intention to become one.

  • No, she didn't want to be another discarded whore who couldn't make a good marriage after Henry was done using her. Do you have any idea what it was like for women in those days? She wanted to remain a virgin until she married; so because Henry was the king, she should forget her morals and give in? She was trying to extricate herself from an impossible situation. I'm not saying she was perfect but she did NOT purposefully set out to become queen.

  • ONLY that...That was enough to shape a nation, whether you think it was a favourable course or not(clearly you don't lol).

  • You must remember that Mary wasn't a saint, either. She killed 200 people, and all because they didn't believe what she did.

  • Were you there when Elizabeth was conceived? How do you know that Henry and Anne didn't marry while they were in France, as originally planned? In that case, Elizabeth would've been conceived in wedlock. And how do you know what Anne's moral standards were? She's always been painted the whore but have you stopped to look at who the people were that painted her that way? Hmm, coincidence that they were all her enemies--I don't think so. And BombGangGirl--you rock.

  • I absolute love this video! It's awesome! Mary and Catherine are the best characters of 'the tudors', they were strong womans with a strong personality, I admire them... How paintful was Mary's life and Catherine's dead!! =( Five stars!!!

  • How beatifoul and sad video! thanks for share...!

  • awesome! This video make me cry...ç__ç

  • This is lovely and so bittersweet!. I was wondering, do you think you could do another video about Catherine and Mary to "Our Farewell" by Within Temptation?. I think that would fit them too!.

  • awesome!

  • Such a lovely and sad video! Mary and Catherine sure were forever in each other's hearts, poor souls....

    Nice job!

  • What on earth are you talking about?

  • Please explain how Henry wanted Mary at court and she didn't want it? Or how Henry loved Katherine?

  • Comment removed

  • i love this vid whooooo

  • It was so sad that Henry kept Katherine and mAry appart in Katherine´s last days.... it´s not fair that a lovly mother cant see her own child...

  • @chichailama I was so horrified when I read that he did that. It's gotta be one of the cruelest things you can do to somebody.

  • This was an excellent video

  • you did a very good job this is my fave!!!!

  • Okay so at 1:08 THAT was a girl. I thought it was some boy at court.

    WHAT episode is that from?

  • She was Mary, Catherine's daughter. The scene is in Season 1, Episode 5.

  • Poor Katherine and Mary. They didn't deserve to be treated so terribly.I mean, what was with keeping them from each other.Keeping a mother from her child is just plain evil.

  • I know!! Henry was such a git to them. The thing which made me laugh was that he blamed everything on Anne and after said he would've had Katherine back if he could.

  • lollzpopz22 - He said,he wanted Katherine back?I never knew that.Anyway,I don't know why he's placing all the blame on Anne.

It's just as much his fault,as it is hers. They are both to blame.

  • I know! I'm not as much of a fan of Anne Boleyn now as i was before but i hate Henry much more the evil bastard!!

  • I absolutely love this! It even brought a tear to my eye! I feel so sorry for them both-they put up with a lot from Henry and were treated very badly too. This video really shows the bond between mother and daughter very well. Well Done! 5 stars and favourited!! xx

  • Katherine is really pretty at 0:27. I really liked her in the tudors. My granddad was in that show lol.

  • After 2 life times of hate and hurt of sad hard lifes always being hurt when they were aldeardy bleeding they mother and child mary and Katherine are toghter to rest in peace for an enerity

  • Lovely video, I feel so bad for both Catherine and Mary when they are seperated. :(

  • I have a question, since I don't have showcase and I have not bought the first season yet, do Princess Margaret and Charles Brandon have a child because everywhere I read they never mention anything of a child which will mean that the story of Lady Jane Grey (if they ever get that far in the story) will never be told.

  • In Season 2, Charles Brandon had a son called Edward (in reality, none of his sons were named Edward), but it was never mentioned who his mother was. And the show never showed Margaret/Mary's pregnancy.

As for Frances Brandon, Lady Jane's mother, she was never mentioned or showed in "The Tudors". The same applied to the many other children the real Henry's sister, Mary, had with Brandon.

  • @hiserature Actually if u look closely Mary/Margret is actually pregers for one of the episodes also charles tells henry before he marries his second wife that he needs a mother for his young son, so Edward is meant to be Chalers and Margret/Mary's son.

  • good job, i love that video ^^

  • You Brilliantly showed the relationship that Mary and Catherine had well done.

  • I really liked this video and i watched the Anne and Elizabeth one as well. Great job!!! So i was wondering if you've heard the song "In My Arms" by Plumb; it would also make a great song for Catherine/Mary and Anne/Elizabeth relationships.

  • It's a pity that Mary turned into such a bitch when she was Queen

  • It wasn't her fault.

  • I think Mary only did what she thought was right as Queen.

  • yes, as she thought she was doing god's will in ridding the country of protestants. it does not, however, excuse her of anything. it was her past and her faith that kept her stubborn and in view of her own. =^_^=

  • Yes she only did what she was right but after reading Alison Weir's INNOCENT TRAITOR I believe that she killed those people more because she was so infatuated with King Phillip of Spain and he told her to but still she should not have done it.

  • This is the best Tudors video I have ever seen!! I have always loved Queen Catherine and Mary. Super job!

  • I really wouldn't ever thought this song could be good for The Tudors. And instead... Brava!

(if I've done some mistakes, excuse me, I'm not English)xD

  • the girl who plays older mary, don't you think she looks like natatlie dormer who plays anne boleyn?

  • Yeah she does, a bit.

  • in what ep does she die

  • 7th

  • this video was very, very sad. Mary had such a tragic life.

  • I agree. Plus its extra sad that she had absolutly no say in what happened to her at all.

  • Very good job! I loved it!

  • I am so sad that there is always injustice]

but I guess it is like my father told me that is the way of the world, that is why monsters are created by society. there is nothing to do but have hope sadly

  • Poor Mary. Poor Catherine. Henry was such a fucking bastard.

  • You got that right.

  • I agree, Henry was one of my "historical villains". Seriously, I don't think any of his wives had happiness. He was selfish and loved only himself.

  • I think at one time or another, he did love Catherine, Anne, and Jane - though that is hardly remembered since his darker days are much more interesting.

  • true...he did love his wives, minus anne of cleves, and all he wanted was a male heir and then more after jane seymoour died. it was all because of his family and how he was the 2nd son, the 1 that inherited not only the throne but also a wife who was convenient to have. and then, katherine became something to discard because she had no male heir, although it was no fault of her own. back then, however, they did not know that. =^_^=

  • i love this plus the one you did for anne and elizabeth. its very touching and nearly made me cry. 5 stars.

  • a very touching tribute for a mother and daughter who truly loved each other.

  • Thanks to everyone for commenting. I am glad that you like this.

  • i love both the vids to this song you made. i was wondering if you could some how make one to do with jane and edward, like her watching over him then them meting when he dies. i know i might be tricky but if you get the time could you give it a try. reply to me if you do. plzzzzzzz.

  • I love this video, hiserature like all your other videos, this rocked too!!!

  • adorable

  • Mary is truly her mothers daughter. I love this tribute! It brought tears to my eyes. This is an automatic 5 stars.

  • back me up- the death opf her mother, her parents' divorce, the torment of edmund's policies to mary for her catholicism drove her maddder into persecuting protestants, no?

  • Actually, Mary's brother was named Edward.

I don't think Mary was mad, but these things just gave her unhappiness, especially her parents' divorce and Henry's treatment of her. This probably made her remained suspicious and cautious about people. Besdies, she was Catholic, so possibly she believed her policies were good bcos she saved England from heresy/heretics (the Protestants).

  • I think that Mary's past and the events of ther adulthood (her loveless marriage, the people's affection for her sister and her inability to bear a child) caused her to become mad. I think that she definately was on some level, out of her mind.

  • well when people treat you like nothing it is enough to be out of your mind, believe me I have seen it.

Mary just had karma on her and bad luck

    really bad luck

  • I know. That's what I was saying. People sometimes only see that black and white of Mary's character and I'm not saying that what she did wasn't horrible and wrong. It was, but it was understandable.

  • i totally agree with you...it is horrible but very understandable. besides all those things were done in a very different time

  • absolutely ageee..I admire Elizabteh tudor..but I can understand the terrible pain of Mary

  • Mary, in my suggestion, went mad when her mother died, her father began to treat her cruelly, and her brother's religion drove her to madness, but not over the line.

  • Her aunt had it but that's it? I hate to sound like a bitch, but I think you're forgetting someone. Namely, her father. I would hardly call him sane, but perhaps your opinion differs. :)

  • Insanity is not a disease you can't just

'have it'. Mary had emotional problems which led to psychotic behavior. Well, thats what i think. And to be perfectly honest i don't believe that her father, Henry VIII or her sister Elizabeth I were exactly what you could call sane people.

  • Her aunt and also her grandmother's mother, Isabel de Portugal. Both suffered the same insanity.

  • I feel very sorry for Juana, I recently watched Juana la Loca, it definatly deserved the award it won and was nominated ofr

  • 5 stars I loved it Katharine and Mary are my favorite Tudor women. They had a special bond that nothing could break.

  • i know they are my favs too, the whole tudor family is sad though. like poor Lady Jane Grey, i felt bad for her

  • really nice! I love both Mary and Katherine... they are two great , strong, powerful women who deserve many more tributes such as these.

  • this is amazing

  • An amazing tribute, bravo!

  • Wonderful video - they definatley needed a music video together!

  • Thank You so much! I love this!

  • I love it! Terrific tribute even centuries later to a loving mother and daughter. 5 Stars! :)

  • Wonderful! I'm so glad you made this. The song fits them extremely well, and I loved how you often paralleled them with clips (both praying, responding to other people, etc). Favoriting!
