@utdwcd I like how you assume you know how cf works more so than the people who actually have it. Not all of us look gaunt, sick, and deathly. We all have our moments of health and our moments of pain. Ive gone my whole life with cf so far and nobody has ever assumed in any way that I was sick from any illness. I don't look sick but with pft's in the 40s and at least two of three stays in the hospital a year, I'm not exactly a shining beacon of health either.
I also have cf.. about a month ago I woke up in the middle of the night with a gargling feeling in my throat, when I sat up I instantly had a coughing reflex kick in and i was coughing out mouthfuls of pure watery blood for about 1 min straight all in all i would say it was about 8 ounces. It was pretty scary, they did two X-rays and also a full catscan and still could not find the cause. It hasn't happened since, and it was actually a blessing I guess you can because they found pseudo in blood.
I don't c how cigarette companies can put what ever the fuck they want n cigarettes. I mean over 4,000 ingredients idk how many of which are carcinogenic. Arsenic, lead, formaldehyde, hydrogen cyanide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, ammonia, urine I mean wtf y is this legal? Murderers they are getting rich killing people its ridiculous Y?!!!
Yeah dude I had a sinus infection that started to move to chest third day on meds today and I just took a small hit to help me go back to sleep when wa-la I cough up a scary amount of bloody mucous making appointment first thing this morning
dude i hope your alright. in 2007 i started coughing up blood. i went to the doc a few times and he said i was fine. the next night my mom had to rush me to the hospital because i could not breath. as soon as i got there they put me in the helicopter and flew me to a different hospital. 5 surgeries, 3 months in a coma, a trach, and dying 4 times. i made it though. its intense.
Try coughing up cups and mouthfuls of blood for months. Blood stained mucus is a joke man.
Who told you you have CF? Most people with it are very, very sick so if you you were not diagnosed by medical professionals this is a big insult to kids who are dying from it.
@DELUXX420 sorry to say but if the woman is indeed your mother, i highly doubt she has cystic fibrosis. it's a genetic disorder most commonly diagnosed at a young age. it's also unlikely for women with cystic fibrosis to be fertile and give birth to children. hope this helps narrow your possible diagnoses

I recently went through a similar situation. Scary as hell to have hemoptosis for the first time. I had the Hemoptosis before I got sick. Sounds like you probably have a little residual bleeding from your last recent exacerbation. Good luck mate.
