What song is that you was mixing it start at 5 41 in your video i can't get the name that's my joint i can't get the name what is the song could and what is the artist
Some people (djs, record collectors) would say its crazy to use such a classic vinyl to do tricks.. :D Its like "listen to them, but dont F.... touch them!!" ^^ i would kick myselfs ass if the records starts skipping... -.-
Next time do this same mixing, but with a crowd of people dancing in front of you. That would really be awesome!!! Let me know when you post it, then I'll subscribe.
Ok maybe he isn't quite modern day DMC standard but it still sounds good for a bedroom dj and it was recorded in the late 90's so pretty good for the time. In fact its just as good as some early DMC entrants. We could all do with practice at something, including you otherwise we'd all be professionals.
my mans quick wit da hands....go head show us how u feels.. cuttin it up... on da wheels of steel... still got the TI sweats from 84' let me call my man to head-spin on da cardboard floor....Philly in da house...
thank you for watching! i use a sticker as a visual marker. so if the beat lands on 6 o'clock and a snare lands at 7 o'clock, i know where to pull it back :D
ultimate breaks and beats saved a whole lot of dj's. no hater, just a dj from way back who actually has most of these originals and took the time to really dig for em. keep spinnin playboy!
Yeah mate, you're rockin' out some f*ckin' wicked tunes bro. Put a smile on my face for the whole day. Nice one bruva! Nice choppin' too.... You still spinning these days Benzito?
Great video. Ur mos def better than me & I'm gud (if I dare say so).
I agree with benzit0 in his previous comment. . YouTube is slipping. For example when I up loaded my Battle breaks & Break beats pt.2 the audio did not drift from the timing of the video. But now it does.
I guess now that Google has a piece of YouTube. The quality if the site is beginning 2 slip.
But The DJ in this video is awsum. U can bet I'm taking notes. U HAVE HUMBLED ME. AND HUMILITY IS A GUD THANG.
I beg to differ. Taking these old songs and rearranging them in a different way is a skill and gives the songs new life! The turntables can be used as an instrument and require just as much skill as any other musician if used correctly.
Nice Old School Joints. Could you please post That version of Dance to the Drummers Beat being that there was different versions of the song. You have the one I have been looking for with that portion to transform Like DJ Jazzy Jeff did back in the day. I had it on a break beat record but lost it and my collection in a fire. Any help would be appreciated. Trying to get the songs I lost.
man i can feel it brother, you know what?! those few mistakes you made, are actually kinda good for catching a new rythme, very good man 5 stars, even tho its 10 years ago
Whats the song that starts at 19 seconds? It's not listed in the discription. Can I please have it? I can't find it anywhere because I don't know the lyrics.
Hey Thanks for the quick reply. I looked up the song and I got an African American women singing. In some parts of the song I hear the part I'm looking for in the background. Is there a song where it's just that part continuous? It's hard to explain. I hear it at School dances all the time and wonder what it's called. It's a beat with a guy yelling "Catch" or something then after a women screams "Ahhh." Then it continues over and over. Do you know what I'm talking about? It starts 19-35 seconds.
Nah!! I never got back into tryin' to be a dj..I just became a dj fan and let those guys who do their thing on the wheels of steel keep me entertained and just took in all the fun from the dance floor.
Thanks so much for the comment..it was well appreciated to know that someone has been thrrough the same shit..I just failed to mention that this happened 25yrs ago..but the comment was well taken
Son..I don't know where you from but..you sound like you got the right taste for old school break beats..funny thing is when I finally got my mom's to get me my first dj equipment i had the official gemini mixer, and she wouldn't get me the Technics I wanted so I settled for some watered down brand.then i got my records and..my mom's went ballistic and broke every record in two and ripped the arms off the turntables..after not being able to take the noise I made..so went my interest in djing
You should tell your mom she is stifling your creative output and possibly denying you a real bright future-sorry to hear about your stuff man-my parents threw my rec's in the trash like a dozen times before I finally snapped after that they minded their own biz and now I am a professional so get yo shit back cuz
Keep practicing-nice tracks though-try a double cut with a reverb on channel 1 and a mute echo on 2-a little tricky at first but once you nail it it will open the doors-trust me I've been doing this for 8yrs kid-keep it up buddy you got potential
braught me back to the great 80's dj's and good memories of the clubs and of me b girls breakdancin days.. espeically with just begun. damm still love that beat. i listen to them over and over lol that and lets dance to the drummers beat. :) i'm living in the past LOL big ups!!
