I'm almost positive you use only the Wiimote for this game, holding it on its side in the "Classic Controller" mode.

@cheeks652 You only need the wii remote (more than 1 if you want to play multiplayer) and the wii nunchuck is optional, but i prefer using it as it makes it easier to move around, without it it is more of a challenge. But basically all you need is a wii remote. Hope this helped!

This is Nintendo at their very best, I applaud them for their innovation in console design but Nintendo are best at what they do BEST! making great traditional games, I wish that they would just stick to doing this, with the obviously great 2D spec of the WII why not releases other great games of this genre like Contra, Super tennis, Mario kart ALL in new great 2D!!!!
