my department does this a different way ive been an explorer at two different departments and they do it different also. i dont get the stomping thing when checking the seal or the helmet then tank then helmet then mack then helmet just a waste of time to me, once my cheif clears it i will see about posting any vids i can

@TheSouthern1cross A Fire Explorer is like a step below academy recruit. The post im in, we have bi weekly meetings where we learn the very basics of the fire service. Here we can sign up for a monthly ride along where we can ride in between the time frame of 8 am and 10 pm.(just like a 12 hour shift) In my post we can go on calls with them. Get stuff for them but not deal with patients. Eat with them. Clean with them. Its different in each post.

@bassthumper1964 Actually no we have more up to date units here. We have brand new units most of the time and they are using units from like 2003. We also have full LED lighting while you guys still use Hallogen Lights. Also were quicker let me just say FDNY vs LAFD or LACoFD do the math.
