That flipper is ludicrously powerful! The only robot to flip Dead Metal. And also Growler, and Cassius Chrome. Not Mr Psycho, though. That honour went to Firestorm.

Tornado used the shovel in 5 out of 7 fights in this series. The reason gravity lost to Tornado was a combination of not being maneuverable enough to get under the side of Tornado, and a flat tire. It was a fair fight. And I'm a fan of Gravity and Razer, but saying "they only won because they had a wedge" is like saying Chaos 2 only won because it had a flipper.

Gravity is really very impressive. Dead Metal was always considered one of the hardest house robots to flip because it its wide base and it did take Gravity several tries. But it won eventually, I think the only robot ever to accomplish that particular feat.

hypno disc became part of the production team along with panic attack and i think pussycat (remember kim davis turning off behmoth when it went out of control)

razer not sure i think they either was angry and losing to tornado or went to america (which they did but not sure when)

As you know, Razer had just "won" a controversial battle against Tornado. Here's the thing...Simon Scott and Vincent Blood wanted to hand victory over to Tornado. Ian Lewis, however, did not. This resulted in a bitter argument that eventually led to Blood quitting the team.

it was the flat tyre i know this as ive talked to the team the flat tyre made it drag at the start it didnt allow the robot to move freely and in the end its that tyre that means the robot stops

also lightning could have won as tornado beat gravity and later that year at a different event lightning beat tornado

That just doesn't work....Chaos 2 beat Pussycat, and Razer beat Chaos 2, so in theory, Razer should have cakewalked Pussycat.....yet it lost to it, twice.

Robot Wars doesn't work like that.

I'd love a rematch. I think under normal conditions (we had a flat tyre in this fight and didn't know until after) we have better control and a lower bot but they have a better weapon (probably the most powerful flipper ever in RW). It should always be entertaining with these two. Incidentally I've driven Chaos 2 - for me that it the best all-rounder, great control and weapon. Laurie, Lightning.

Lightning has a greater range now but that is all. The intention was to replace the tyres with solid ones, and to perhaps increase the flipper power. So there were plans but series 7 was the last one, so Lightning has been retired as it is, repaired and working. It now does the occasional show. The last proper fight was with Tornado at Lakeside (that clip is elsewhere on YouTube). Thanks for asking. Laurie.

Lightning (our robot) had a flat tyre from the start, so couldn't move properly as it was dragging on one side. Having said that Gravity had by far the better weapon. Well done to them - they put on a great show here and deserved it. In their next round Gravity took out Dantomkia in about 6 seconds - a new record. That fight is on YT too. Eventually Tornado beat them, a robot we beat in a live event (also on YT). Roboteering is fun!!! Enjoy.

The 100 x 180 FP ram of Gravity has more than twice the power, and 3 times the flow of Chaos 2. Specially in series 7 Chaos 2 had a serious problem of liquid co2 freezing its valve, causing them to lose a lot of power when upside down. Chaos 2 was a very good flipper, but Gravity 3 was definatly better.
