Is it safe to do it yourself? I want to, but I'm worried it will cause infection or something. I am dying to just jab it like you did...is it really OK?
som66 u most definitly dont have the swelling now and sorry it took me for ever to write back....mine went away in about a week but then popped back up outta no where, but once u get it its always gonna effect u in different ways...like imma mma fight but now i cant do elbow strikes wit my right arm kinda sucks jus be carefull with the shit u do to ur elbow cuzz it can and will pop back up
Just had that done yesterday. Really no big deal. They numb your elbow then put a tiny needle in there. You don't feel it. They drained mine out into a hypodermic syringe, like a blood transfusion in reverse. Atferwards it felt SOOO much better! For the first night in two weeks I slept without pain waking me up.
My elbow got carved up doing construction work. Cut it down to the bone. Stitches fix the skin but not the torn bursa. Ouch! But it's much better now. "Don't fear the needle!"
i got this actually from repeated blows to the elbow(mma) and i dident kno wtf it was at first and its jus so annoying and it hurts liek hell neva get this kids lol
@MrSmil3z man i think i got this today. was wondering for da whole day that there's sumthing wrong with my elbow . couldn't type write or play basketball, finally checked in the evening there was a bump & some real red swelling on the elbow cap. seeing the doc 2morrow. How long does it take to get back it to normal coz itz getting so fucking annoying???
@jr9595 So your elbow totally healed it does not pop out at all? How long did it take for your elbow to return back to normal? For me its been a week and swelling has gone down but elbow still looks like a golf ball and hurt when I lean it on a table. I also play football and pad it up but its annoying wearing it.
Why on earth would you do that? If you were to strike a branch of a nerve, you could have some life-long problems. For all watching, do not attempt to treat an olecranon bursitis like this, consult your doctor, chiropractor or physiotherapist.
nice. . .

I got it in my shoulder, but apparently getting it in the shoulder isn't as bad as getting it in the elbow and knee.
At first I thought I slept on my shoulder wrong but it had been hurting for like 3 weeks s I went to the docs and they told me.
But man I would've rather then drain it with a needle then them give me meds.
