The thing about this segment is that Brooker really is guilty of hypocrisy. Not only is he feeding on and perpetuating the media's obsession with Goody, but he's also attacking the 'hate mail' people for expressing the same kinds of thoughts he is expressing in this video. I think there's value in turning a mirror on the public in this way but he can't claim to be above the sorts of things he's complaining about.

I'm a paperboy, and I can honestly say though the months of her tragic times, I was sick to death of seeing her face.
She's a nice person, yeah, but seeing the same person on EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PAPER FOR THREE MONTHS was a little annoying. Thankfully the other half of the papers had a story about a cat stealing socks, so it wasn't too bad.

On more than one occasion Charlie has highlighted the awful Danielle Lloyd's comments. I also believed she had been the most overtly racist of the 3 and got away with a lot compared to Jade and even Jo to extents. Whilst Jade disappointed and angered me with playground bully behaviour, i never felt any of her misguided anger towards Shilpa was to do with race. A lot of the time it seemed there was a class divide. An excellent analysis of surreal media coverage. Welldone Charlie.
