There's a lovely video on YouTube of an original recording of when Hitler came to visit Mannerheim on his birthday, uninvited. Mannerheim didn't appear too enthusiastic. He refused to salute back when Hitler saluted him, and also smoked a lot during this visit knowing full well Hitler hated it.

And the reason they didn't get the whole of Finland is because Stalin had decapitated the Red Army, and placed a bunch of incompetent buffoons like Voroshilov in charge of the operation. Winterwar and afganistan were mistakes because of soviet generals. They didn't have the right tactics and equipment. Stalin had to attack finland because finland disagreed to change some lands and that caused people to death. For how many times russians won wars, I don't really think that they are worse than finns, or neither better than finns.

@zzerDrezz We all know what would've happened if Finland agreed to give land to Stalin. You can see what happened to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Stalin didn't want those parts of land he demanded, he wanted whole Finland. Maybe to prevent Germany's attack via Nordic countries or just because he wanted to conquer everything. Finns only wanted to build their country, we had no interest to help nazis fight Soviet. Stalin was crazy as fuck when he attacked strongly neutral country without reason.
