I play PIHA out of northern VA for the Mavericks (Minors...screw the age limit) and I'm pretty sure we could take either of these teams. We actually have the final four in St. Louis the end of this month, and if there is any God in heaven, we won't play at this rink.

technically speaking you are right - "roller hockey" is technically using quad skates (2 pairs of tandem wheels), and "inline hockey", using skates where all four wheels are inline, but inline hockey (shown here) is usually referred to as roller hockey anyway - as inline hockey is much more popular than real "roller hockey"

I guarantee you that given one week to get used to the different surface of the ice that I would outskate the shit out of you. I skated circles around ice players when they played roller w/ me. one day and when I played with them I was just as good. I would've killed them if I was used to the ice. They are good too, leading scorers in my highschool team which is 2nd in the state.

i agree with juju, i hate when people knock on one or the other, they are different ways to play the same game and you have to master each way when you play both. you really become a great roller player when youve played ice because you know how to skate, and you become a good ice player after being in roller because of the puck handling skills you pick up and transer that to the heavier puck
