Check your IP again. Maybe your firewall is blocking the program. If those aren't the problem I can only suggest restarting your iDevice and computer and checking if everything was installed correctly.

"blah blah" isnt very helpful, check the ip again, maybe the problem is due to your router changing the ip address after restarting. also check that it is only the ip address (no port). for exmaple: 192.168.x.x .... NOT 192.168.x.x:XXXX

If your iPhone is jailbroken it should have cydia installed on it. Otherwise there wouldnt me much point of jailbraking. If your thinking WTF is jailbreak? then search it on google or youtube :)

no unfortunately not. you can't turn left or right or use the accelerometer with VNC. The only way you could do that is if you had the official iPhone SDK which comes with a more enhanced version of a VNC

i take it you are on your home wireless which means you probably have a router/modem which assigns IPs dynamically to the devices in your home. This means that everytime u restart the modem or router it reassigns IPs to the devices connceted to it. so it is possible that ur ipod/iphones IP address changes. when u restart the ipod it shouldnt change the IP though

I take it you are talking about downloading veency? IF so, make sure that you have let Cydia load completely (because it takes a long time) and then try again. If it persits, try googling your error.

yea thanks i figured out that problem. but i have a question no one is answering. its about vnc where u can use your computer from your iphone. I did everything right but at the little icon on the bottom right of the computer where it tells you the ip adress it says "not accepting connections". Do you know what that means or how to fix that? thanks

thats no problem, You probably restored from a back up after the restore was complete. Restore again, but set it up as a NEW phone, because the backup forces the iphone to use the same carrier bundle as before. Hope this will help

:) its works!!! all the other videos I have tried didnt work. So happy!!! :) On Mac when you open up Chicken of the VNC, the HOST section is where you put your IP address. The display was left at 0 and password box was empty. The profile was default and none of the boxes below were ticked. I then pressed Connect and it came up. This should solve any problems Mac users may have.
