This game is not new!! It was happening 40 yrs ago.but no one knew anything about how bad it was or what it would do later. Now it has a name and families are losing there children. Are our children so bored with life,,not enough or just spoiled. Remember kick the can or hide and seek. We did this to them. Life was so much easier before. Damn,tv,video games,computors,cell phones ect. We were fine without them,,,,grew up without them!!!!!!!

My best friend lost her son at 16 to this game, they took his body out while she was sleeping, & at the funeral she went crazy trying to pull his body out of the coffin b/c she didn't understand how he died since he didn't do drugs! Ok the ones that are dying are those that go way too far with this. Is it dangerous yes, but so is life, it does no more damage than say smoking one cigarette and you don't see the government doing much about them...The only reason they get a high is because they're cutting off the oxygen that is going to their brain. If they use some type of ligature then it is more likely that they're are gonna be without oxygen for too long.
Yea this week and last week they made it huge deal out of this in the middle schools and high schools. The teachers call it the "Choking game", where you basically put your hands on your nose and breath in deeply 10 times and they hold your neck untill you pass out. I was sixth grade or so when a schoolmate proposed to use a similar technique on me. I blacked out and hit my head from behind. I regained consciousness with severe headache. After that i experienced vision loss which really freaked me out. My teacher drove me to my home. I did it to myself a couple of times after that. I haven't checked myself in hospital for brain damage but that was probably the most RETARDED thing i have ever done in my entire life. DON'T DO THAT KIDS!

Someone tell me what is it really that they're doing, I am a fan of the UFC and I see guys all the time getting choked out and they're holding a few seconds later even tho they are out. So what really causes paralyzation? Is it the blow to the head? Is it that they are still holding when they're out?

I remember when I was in junior high a version of this game where instead of strangulation one kid would hold another kid in a bear hug across the lungs until the kid passed out. Seems kids never learn until one of their friends dies.

Looking back now I realize that it was extremely stupid and inconsiderate that anyone would think that this is a harmless game... If I had known it was really bad for you I wouldn't have done it... I was sixth grade or so when a schoolmate proposed to use a similar technique on me. I blacked out and hit my head from behind. I regained consciousness with severe headache. After that i experienced vision loss which really freaked me out. My teacher drove me to my home. I did it to myself a couple of times after that. I haven't checked myself in hospital for brain damage but that was probably the most RETARDED thing i have ever done in my entire life. DON'T DO THAT KIDS!

I am going to be honest, I am 24 now, me and some friends played this "game" whenever we were there age. If any of you teens that are watching this or reading these comments, please, please, please, don't do it. It is NOT a game. It may make you feel good for a min, but it will KILL you. This is serious!!!! I did this, and i regret it to this day. I look back and have no clue why I even thought about playing doing it. Your life is nothing to play with. I lost a boy bestfriend who played this game. They did everything they could but he just couldn't wake up. He was the one who tought me how to skate when I was younger and he was my bestfriend. I cried for 5 straight days. I still miss him but I know we'll meet again later. (: Please help stop this.

My name is Melissa and i was watching videos on this subject, I have 14 years and when I look at this and I read the ages of the kids makes me sad to know that lost their lives for a stupid game, and people can not do anything about it? I live in Argentina and my family did not hear this and actual cases of this, so I was shocked of the ages of the teenagers! 9 - 16 years!

@IMeelii I tried this once, like 5 years ago with a couple of buddies of mine, never heard of it before so didn't know exactly what it was, figured it was like MMA tapouts, thankfully the girl that tried it on me couldn't find my arteries or w/e they are called so she gave up, completely forgot about me trying it until now, that shit was stupid, not sure why I even let her touch me.
