sorry but its so true i had to sign in to agree, yea watz up with the wak overly quantized drum patternz? personly i fink it stemz from all the wak (but strangly 5stared) fl studio tutorials tellin people to program drumz rather then play then, n its ashame but a lot of mpc guys be doin this to now,
no excuse tho if u got an mpc, its unqantised drumz (especially the hi hats) being 1/64 off here n there that makes drum played in (near enuf)sound uncomputerised, n more human.
lol THANX man. you sound like you understand real hip hop and how it should sound. im gonna assume that u listen to alot of pete rock and easy mo bee beats?
and LOL@ uncomputerized :) thats exactly what i mean. its like people cant tell the differents between a boom bap beat and a garbage ass fruity loop drum pattern. theres no creativity. so boring.
@tag1989 i make beats using fruity loops, where i have access to 100's of drums sounds i can easily scroll through, but for the people who use an mpc don't have that access, so they use the same drums, including the greatest like primo and 9th wonder.
well your wrong, if u'v ever used the mpc then you know their are many drums to choose from. besides fruityloops give u too many stupid bouncy drum sounds that u here in commercial music of today. i dont want those drum sounds, i want real hip hop drum sounds from the mpc. besides my comment was talking about drum patterns not sounds. everybody knows that mpc sounds better for hip hop.
@tag1989 well if you're talking about drum patterns i guess you're right. but the point i was trying to make with fruity loops is, after you make the pattern, you're able to just drag and drop different drum sounds from different kits, without having to record the entire drum loop. Correct me i'm wrong b/c i'm not that familiar with a mpc. I'm trying to say it gives the producer more freedom
I like your flip of the Preemo beat at 3:20. You had some pretty tight beats bruh! Plus, you flipped a couple of well known samples in your own way. Keep it up!
