Might just be the compositor as of yet IIRC. graphicall org is filled with so many Blender builds you would want merged yesterday if not sooner, know what I mean? Multi-threaded && OpenCL optimizings are planned for the next release, free of charge. ;)

Sound does not move at the speed of light, if you ever heard a bomb explode, it a delayed effect as the sound is slower than light, also there is a shock wave that approaches almost close to the speed of sound about 1 or 2 seconds later that blows people back and breaks windows miles away but not quite enough to kill. just my 2 cents
