  • Does anyone know what the film is? I remember when it was first broadcast in '75 (?)

  • Mi a szent szar ez?

  • The powers that be that took Jon's music off here and replaced it with that urban crap should be sent to the Siberian salt mines for life. What arrogant bullshit!!!!!

  • This is hilarious. Not what I was expecting, but hilarious just the same.

  • Jon Anderson? Where?

  • Esta es una broma de mal gusto... ¡que ganas de perder el tiempo!

  • Absolute work of art- It was always played at a low, repectable, volume. I am older now and should be wiser But It is most certain that I will (throughout the rest of my time on this orb)

hold this beautiful album of music very close

to my heart for throughout the rest of my life and will share it with as many different people as I possibly can as to allow them to pass it on through their future generations.------ARIAH ARIAH. T- Higgins

  • Wow, what a song to go with this video :) who's this soulful brother scoring the renaissance?

  • Burn in hell !

    - c.a.t.

  • Man, the "music business" is soo clueless. This should be like radio, where a royalty is collected for every public performance. Instead, they kill their own artists by starving them of exposure, and try to force teenaged crap down our throats. I don't feel bad at all if they all go out of business.

BTW, Olias Rules! When I was a kid, my brother brought it home. I was like, "wtf is THIS!" ...completely blew my mind. Still does today. Btw-btw, I BOUGHT MY OWN COPY, & Still wanna watch!

  • Esta es una ofensafea pàra la canción de jon

  • I hate Warner. They blocked the video due to music. Well, the music is cut, but the video (as bad as it might be) is still here. This mute this track, then play Olias and enjoy.

  • I think this album is the best album of all time, you dont have to understand it, just listen and cry to the beautiful music. Enjoy... My favourite track by Jon is, So Long Ago, So Clear. Roll a spliff, and sit back and have your head blown off. PEACE 2 u all.

  • So Long Ago, So Clear...... yes, me too always one of my favourites. Something very magical about it. Beautiful melody.

  • This is also my favourite album by about 40 miles...

    So goddamned brilliant.

    JON ANDERSON = My idol,

Love his work with or without YES.

Love you Jon, get well soon :)

    -Joel

  • I wish I could understand this album- I have had it on LP, cassette, and CD and still don't get it!

  • It's a Musical Myth.

  • You are not the only one! i know several guys who did the same! me too

  • The album's a classic.

  • a wonderous blast from the past...we had sabbath to keep us heavy in our innocent youth but yes gave us hope and indelicate intoxication w life

  • so mellow.the world would be a better place if everyone was this chilled out. Thanks jon for being SO far ahead of the curve. Jon shines for sure.

  • I had the pleasure to meet Mr. Anderson (I ambushed him by the back door entrance of a theatre) shook his hand and had him autograph my Olias of Sunhillow album. I thank him for so many years of great music. He thanked me back. I told him I hope he and YES will one day play The Ancient live, and he asked me, "Did Steve send you here?" We laughed. Olias is one of my all time favourite albums. It's absolutely magnificent from beginning to end. I also enjoy TOLTEC just as much. He's God's voice.

  • Brilliant album. Bought it when it came out, still have the vinyl. In my top 50. I don't know what it is about the sound, but it's somehow soothing.

  • Not sure if you are getting this message twice I had to sign up again before my message would get to you. I turn 50 in February and can I can probably relate to the times you first heard this in the 70's. I simply thought to look this up and what a suprise to find the songs just like I had remembered them. They sound just as good as when I first heard them. My friends back then didn't get this music and the friends from that era that I still keep in touch probably still wouldn't today.

  • And I don't care. Having listened seriously to a lot music in my 52 years, I learned a long time ago Music is personal. I REALLY can't stand when I read on youtube note after note trying to argue their pick as the best guitarist ever... like it's some kind of sport. As for Anderson, I met him as well, during the ABWH tour. Wakeman is a GIANT of a man, and Bruford still looks like he's 20 years old. Kansas? The Wall is a masterwork.

  • I rememmber buying this 8 track years ago...(I'm 50) and when I heard it recently I rememmbered every note, pure genius....Anderson IS yes..

  • Jon Anderson!! He is rare, his music rare-er,this video rarer still, how inspiring, how distant, pure Zen pure Jon pure YES.

  • I hadn't heard this for about 25 years - but I remembered every word and chord change.

Bloody hell. Does that mean I'm in Heaven?

    ;o)

  • Me too. I bought this on 8 track the minute I heard it being advertised on the radio. I actually had to special order it because it was being offered like the popular music at the time. It never was a big hit. I think only certain people back then really understood this music. I was into Kansas and Neil Young back then and still am but this music was such a great diversion from the ordinary.

  • delightful!!!

  • How beautiful, as it was then and it is now. Music for the ages and the intelligent ones to receive it, with feeling.

  • it´s just like magic

  • thanks soooooo much for this! Jon Anderson's music always makes me feel good

  • OK, Lee, you've struck again -- how you find this rare old sh*t is just beyond amazing. The video quality is crud and you gotta love the mid 70s British hippies still sipping Magic Tea, but this ranks among the more rare Yes-related vids from the vaults I've ever seen. 5 stars!

  • Funny, I was driving my brother back from the hospital after he had surgery for cancer and he popped this in the CD player. A blast from 30 years ago! Love Jon Anderson's voice :)

  • thank god for the tube .....thanks you made my day

  • I've always been especially fond of this albumn. What a wondrous musical vision has Jon!

  • Wow, AMAZING!!! Thanks for posting this ;-)

  • When Jon is on form as he is here his voice is magical

  • great song from the master himself

  • I love Yes and Jon. Have a tattoo of the olias symbol.

  • an Olias tatoo!!! SWEEEET!!! Im so jealous

  • I still get the old album out now and again, great for a lazy, sunny afternoon.

  • Thanks again Yesmuseum ! The video is a bit odd but just the name " Olias of Sunhillow " is so evocative! must have the album upstairs somewhere under tons of other stuff. Ah, nostalgia..

  • Ostias!

  • OMG I dont believe !!!

    wow thanks !

  • I don't think medieval gothic times have much in common with Olias story. ???

  • What the hell is a tallowplanic view?

  • The broad expanse of lands that can be shaped or molded, like wax. The view of the potential of the new world. IMHO

  • always great to listen to jon anderson any time any place thanks

  • I was so impressed I got my verb tenses confused.

  • How cool! Both the song and the animation was truly gorgeous.

  • Wow! That footage fused perfectly with the song, it was awesome!

  • I remember this well, it was the programme, "The old Grey Whistle Test" on BBC2, late at night, with Bob Harris presenting. The track is "Flight of the Moorglade". Great to see this again!!

  • The show host and Jon were probably both getting stoned before the show. I think Jon made that movie in his garage with Captain Kangaroo and Mister Rodgers....those guys were WAY too mellow to be like that naturally.

  • I believe it's a B/W CT scan of the Turin shroud pressed against the back of Anderson's head, while he was sat watching George Melies' Trip to the Moon sipping mushroom tea, downsampled via pin-hole camera and animated by the spirit of Willis O'Brien.

  • Does anybody know what old film we see here?

Still a very beautiful song: Flight of the Moorglade!

    Thanks again for sharing this!
