This has got to be one of the most FANTASTIC bands of all time! I have several of his records and none of them fail to please. My first one was "He`s A Good Man To Have Around" very sweetly played. The flip side ''Last Of The Red Hot Mamas" just HOT! I LOVE this record as well. Thank You so much for posting this BEAUTIFUL video.
Used to put this on the credenza with the encore repeater and let it go! A big favorite of mine and my friends that would listen to the victrola. Love the crisp fidelity of this one!~ What is striking to me is how well the band plays this. Not a hurried last minute arrangement here, but a beautifully memorized well oiled favorite from the bands book. My fave late 20s atmospheric! Kudos!

Thanks so much Bob! You KNOW this is being put in my favorites :) I purchased the CD last summer and also some Leo Reisman and Bix Biederbeck. This is one of my all time favorites, you're the best!
@GeminiNightOwl I knew you would enjoy this one. I have a lot of Reisman but the folks at Warner don't like it posted. You have to stay away from the Kerns and Porters that he did for sure.
this band has a really nice mellowness to it...and still very twenties hot-cha. i noticed that fleming sings a different set of lyrics than i have heard on other versions...nice. thank you for the douglas fairbanks stills as well....
AWESOME! Makes me feel like I'm at the Stanford Theatre in Palo Alto, in my favorite seat!
