I really appreciated your tutorial but I guess I still don't get how you are strumming. Up down but then how do you do the third down with the slapping noise? Instead of actually doing any muted strum on the third I just end up stopping the vibrations of the chords. Is this right?

Hello :) I strum Down, Up - and shortly after strumming Up, that's when I slap. Then just repeat the whole pattern again: Down, Up, *slap*, Down, Up, *slap, etc... throughout the whole song. Does that help any? Let me know :)

I get stuck on the verses...switching from chord to chord. Especially G to Bb to F...that one is brutal at that tempo (for me at least) =/ any tips?

I'm not really sure what else may help you when it comes to switching from chord to chord except just to practice playing the chords at a slower tempo. This part was also tricky for me when I learned this song so the key is just to keep practicing. Hope this helps. :)
