  • With the surname Zimerman, and having been born in a city in Upper Silesia, an area which for over 500 years was inhabited primarily by ethnic Germans, I would bet that Mr. Zimerman does indeed have at least some German heritage. Not that it matters to how he interprets music...

  • This is F. Liszt ,another genius of Romanticism.

  • Zimerman is Polish! not german, probably the reincarnation of Chopin..............

  • The Slavanic races, German, Hungarian, Ugoslavian, but otherwise the point is that the phrasing is too slow

  • Liszt IS hungarian you idiot!!!!

  • Parousia555 it's your own personal opinion, if he thought something wasn't right he would've said something and how can you not have known that that is Liszt? some things i'll never understand..

  • Oshawa's conducting is a little to slow for the German pieces, tends towards the Italian or English formats. Zimmerman, himself German, should have known better and should have told the conductor to do otherwise.

  • Zimerman is Polish

  • Nice logic, but Liszt was Hungarian.

  • hey, your the same guy who thought the picture was of the pianist when it's really Liszt. Nice job with the research there, lol.

  • I am not really inclined to believe someone who mistakes a painting of liszt for zimmerman and thinks that zimmerman is german when he is polish.
