  • does the sub still run okay?

  • @Streamliner009

I have had the U-16 for 4 years now. It has just started to have probles with the turning thruster. :-(

  • @rcflyerJR alright i dunno who to ask but ill try you, ive had a torpedo design for awile and i dont know if it would work. its propelled by a 380. primer cap that is struck mechanically. its in an airtight torbedo bay covered by a piece of seran wrap, when fired, the torpedo punches trough the seran wrap into the water and bouyuncy levels keep it under about a .25 of an inch. it detanats usinga springloaded pin fired into a 22. primer and the rest of the torp is filled with black powder

  • very nice ;)

  • @USOGPcom I have not tried it. others have mentioned about doing video remotely but I do not know how good it would go in the water And putting a camera on the little sub would be difficult to.

  • can it stagnate dive?

  • @zach98ism yes the sub can static dive, it has a piston ballast tank.

  • Cool! Makes me want one for the pond...nice water you have there!

  • Neet but it seams like it would be hard to have fun with a RC sub.

  • @Pooshooter5k First off, you don't have to worry about it crashing on you, unless you drop it on the floor when you take it out of the fish tank. The sub can be fun, chasing the fish around, navigating around the obstacles in the fish tank. It is also good for the little kids too.

  • @rcflyerJR This is one of the neetest RC subs iv seen. I was thinking more of the big ones that poepl have. The ones that dont fit in fish tanks. I watched a demo vid for this sub in tokyo after your vid and It looks like a blast in big fishtanks! I guess you would save on busted parts too lol. Thanks for responding sorry if I sounded like a trol I just ment that they arnt as simple to use as a car because they are in water. I have a few boats and its not like I can just take them out and run em

  • THIS VIDEO IUS OBVIOUSLY FAKE!!! THAT WATER WAS FAKE!!!

  • Good choice of music, cool video.

  • I wanna see a big fish eat it!

  • cool, but you need to have a big fish tank with fish in it and everything.......i have 2 cats.

  • lol bluegill

  • @ihaterabbits127 If you get the sub can you let me know where you got it so I can post it here, to help others find it. I have had my U-16 For 4 years It is a great little sub.

  • @ihaterabbits127

There is a link in the videos description where you might be able to get it.

  • @ihaterabbits127 $50. But its getting hard to find.

  • What is the song

  • @ginavox1 The first song is 19-2000 by the Gorillaz. The second song is Return to Innocence By Enigma.

  • @blabbychunk5949 dont think that's a fishtank

  • how many directions of movement does it have? is it a four channel?

  • @bladejunkee

The U-16 is a 3 channel. It can go forward, back, up, down, rotate left and right.

  • nice in the fish tank

  • torpedoes away we need some fish for dinner

  • nice vid ^_^

  • 1:11 fishy!

  • is the controller water proof

  • @titanicxl3 No the controller is not waterproof.

  • Pah ha!! Best question ever!!

  • For some reason the first part reminds me of atari.

  • I know that you said to buy it at Hobby Lobby, but if I go there it says that the sub is discontinued. But you can still click on Add to cart. What would happen if I ordered it? Also, how many inches long is it, and will it work in salt water?

  • @BrianBryceLe

Will this really sucks!!! I called Hobby Lobby, they are no longer carrying Graupner products. That is why there are no longer carrying it. :( The sub is 5 inches long, it would work in salt water, but you will need to rinse it off real good afterwards. You can try Graupner USA, it has them in stock for now.

  • @rcflyerJR

In the Submarines category in Graupner Usa it says "there are no products in this category."

  • @BrianBryceLe Try the link I put in the description of this video, it will take you right there. You are right if you try the categories it doesn't have anything in the boat section ???

  • Evil Swimming Dingus.

  • love the music and the sub its so kool!

  • @HaloBeast547 Thanks!

  • how much do these cost?

  • @rcflyerJR thx but i am gonna buy a 7 dollar boat that goes really fast! im excited

  • @rcflyerJR thx but i am gonna buy a 75 dollar boat that goes really fast! im excited

  • Is it possible to install cameras inside it - cameras that will transmit "live" to a computer?

  • @Verradonairun

No not inside, it's pretty jam packed in there. the camera would need to be mouted on the the sub

  • @rcflyerJR oh, ok. :)

  • love gorillaz nice vid

  • Want and will hopefully get

  • how deep can it dive?

i'd be glad if you could respond

  • @EagleHawk175

    2 feet I've gone 3

  • @rcflyerJR well thn its obviously not 2 feet if youve been to 3 foot...lol

  • @IamMeUareYou When I was making the video I forgot all about the 2 foot limit ;-)

  • @rcflyerJR lol xd

  • @rcflyerJR What would happen if you went below the max distance? It wouldn't be crushed I'm sure.

  • @Mr41432 If it went thousands of feet deep it might get crushed, most likely the sub would lose integrity and all the air would be forced out of a crack or something.

  • So how long did this thing last? Little RC toys like this work for about a day and then just stop working. Also, is the controller waterproof? And how long does the battery last?

  • @SephirothEGS

I got my U-16, 3.5 years ago and I just used it last night so it still works . The battles don't hold the same charge but it still is good enough. If you don't drop it, the U-16 will last you a long time. But the U-16 is mass produced so there might be some lemons :-), I have not heard of too many complaints. Oh the controller is not waterproof and the battery lasts a long time. Hope this helps.

  • i have one and it rocks!

  • Gorrilaz, YEAH!!

  • I find this difficult to masturbate to.......

  • @Analeruption77 I'm sorry! it might be the music, not putting you in the right mood. ;-)

  • @Analeruption77 This people is another trend starter like that god damn Chuck Norris and Russian crap!

  • (The fish that go by): WDF? Well I have never seen another brother with red eyes...

(The fish that go by): Well, there was that one time when I saw the collest rc sub ever.

(The fish that go by): Oh FK! MY EYES! THEY ARE TURNING RED LIKE THAT WEIRD FISH! AAAHHHH!!!!

  • amazing!!how many did it cost to buy??

  • @demossk8g10

in the description of the video there is a link, you can click on to take you where you can buy it. $50

  • how fast can it go?

  • @planbskaterg11

It Took the U-16 3sec too Travel a foot, So its speed is 4.4mph. How's that.

  • @rcflyerJR thanks!

  • How much weight can this thing carry?

I'm probably getting one of these and thinking of mounting a very small and light camera on it.

  • @oggero

Sense it will be in water, the Little plastic camera will want to float. You will need to add weight to get the buoyancy just wright, so that the buoyancy of the sub will let it go up and down. Good luck! Let me know if you get it to work.

  • At about 4:32 or so, it looked like it dove deeper than 2'----Really nice little sub!

  • @proteusu9

Yes! some parts of the video the sub went 3 or more feet DEEP. I had forgotten about the 2foot limit when I was doing the video. :-)

  • that is so cool i have the first model and was great but this looks better i thing i will buy one

  • Do you have to dive in the swamp to control it?

  • @minimalizam009 ?????? No ??????

  • I want one! is there a camra ?

  • @sapiassss

That would be nice, but the answer is no.

  • @rcflyerJR =( its still cool =)

  • does the radio controller have a camera on it so we can see what happens down their or we should look out of the water?please reply man...also i love this video

  • @kostarasss13 Thanks for the compliment! The controller does not have a camera on it. The sub was designed for the fish tank or other shallow bodies of water, so you would be able to see where it was going. It would've been pretty kool too have a camera on it. 8)

  • This is sold by a Chinese r/c distributor in Canada. Their helicopters are second to none (although not for kids - they crash).

  • My Granddad made me a Boat or a sub but he didn't wire it up or put the motor in and he died shortly after and I was only 1 years old so I never got to see him ) ;

  • @MrZimmerson

That is to bad, it sounds like he would have been a great granddad.

  • the fish are like ..... WTF !!!! lol xD

  • What camera did you use?

  • @FishyPOL I use the flip ultra In a plastic ziplock bag. Check out the end of the video, there are some pictures of it.

  • They do not have "General Quarters" on US submarines. They have "Battle Stations Missile" or "Battle Stations Torpedo".

  • @davetdu

Then, its a good thing that the U-16 is a german submarine, but its not to scale, its not longer enough.

  • super cool im gonna buy

  • I got mine down to 35 feet and it worked fine cause i added a super long antenna and had the controller underwater in a waterproof bag with a seal at the antenna. But it flooded a few weeks after when the dive motor broke and it sank to deep :(

  • @F22RaptorDude

Is it 35 Feet or 3.5 Feet. If it's 35 feet you must be smoking something.

  • @rcflyerJR Friend has a super deep pool.

  • @F22RaptorDude i highly dought it how did u get that deep to watch it

  • @F22RaptorDude Couldnt you get it back?

  • great, i have taken it to 2 feet deep

  • @Love4GameSoundTrack

once upon a time those subs too were 50 dollars. The U-16 through the years has kept its price. I've had it for 3 years now, it has been the longest usable RC stuff I have ever owned.

  • Круто нада себе купить. :)

  • how deep can this submarine can go......?

  • @wan9572

The U-16 can go 2 feet deep.

  • dont scare the fish!

  • @cooliodude96529

Thank you for your concern. The fish, thank the sub is big brother now.

  • what happens if it goes deeper than its met to go?

  • @rs8342

I have taken it to 3 feet, it survived that but if you went deeper it would leak and short out the electronics.

  • like the music haha

  • awesome video!

  • excellent video !!

  • cooles lied, passt gut. gefällt mir. XD

  • this is actually pretty cool make me want one how much do they go for?

  • @FordSVT1313 Check the Description of the video, There is a link to where you can get it

  • is there possible any modifications that allow the sub to go deeper :) ??

  • @crazyivan030983 if you try to cover the sub with something, it would help with the gaps and screw holes. but you would not be able to seal of motor holes or the buoyancy chamber. you would need to do something with the radio too, when the sub was 3 feet deep in the video, I was almost on top of it, the deeper you go the less range you have.

  • @rcflyerJR thx :)

  • man thats soem good fishin out there, where is this?

  • @seanmoore916

:-) The video was made in a creek, close to my house and the fish are a couple of inches long.

  • I have this one Too :D

  • nice sub[:

i;d have hella fun playing esp inside the fish tank.

  • What would happen if it went deeper than 2 feet?

  • @FishyPOL

The sub will start to leak bubbles. It would start to come from the frount of the sub there is a weak part there. I have taken the sub to 3 feet in the video. I forgot about the two feet limitations. But sub did it ok :-)

  • @rcflyerJR what about reinforcing the hull with any light material?

  • @kawasakikos that would help but the hard part would be to reinforce the charge port and the motor shafts and the buoyancy chamber. you would also need to increase the range of the transmitter, 27 hz has a hard time going deeper in the water. in a fish tank I was able to have a good range with the transmitter but in a bigger body of water the deeper I went the lower the range was , at 3 feet I was almost on top of it to control in the creek where I did the video.

  • Superb vid!!

  • OMG It must cost 30 bucks...YES!!!(clicks on link) Ahhhh F@$k!!! Its 50 ): By the way Awesome video!!!! XD

  • how deep can it go?????????????

  • @xandar78

    2 Feet

  • thanks=)

  • can u make a video on how u made the waterproof case

  • @fishyboy08 Sure! Why not, just for you. What I made was very cheap and it works for a couple of Uses. But The engineered store bought cases are better and can go a lot deeper. :-)

  • what where u using it in a pond or sumthin it is a pretty big pond if it is

  • @fishyboy08

:-) It's a optical aleutian. The sub is really small, It makes things look a lot bigger than they really are ;-) The video was made in a stream Or creek whatever you want to call it.

  • is the control waterproof and how deep can it dive?

  • @camiloescallon

It is not waterproof and the U-16 can go down to 2 feet.

  • is the control waterproof?

  • Fantastically!!!!!

  • yay!! for random fish not giving a shit lol

  • @airforceweaver97

I put a link in the description, just click on it and it will take you right to where you can buy it. Have fun!!!

  • lol I need to get one of thse to put in my fishtank! where do you get it?!?

  • this will be more cooler if theres a little cam in the sub then if the battery life spam can go 24hr..

  • I've just ordered mine today from ebay , im going to stick a mini camcorder on it to make my underwater videos in HD

  • @tunkunrunk

Congratulations! it's a cool sub. Let me know when you upload the video. Putting the camera on the U-16 may be tricky to get the buoyancy right. Good luck hope you do it.

  • it is a scratch, the fishing lure would've moved when the submarine moved.i believe you, rcflyer JR.

  • @albert75505

Thank you Albert, The U-16 is a really cool little submarine and it's not a gimmick.

  • $50 thats a little pricy for such a small thing

  • For what i have paid for in other micro subs, which were junk. The capability of the U-16 has been well worth the money. I have no Regrets in buying it.

  • thats not radio controlled look at 35 seconds into the video you'll see the fishing line holding it he is pulling it with fishing string

  • thats not radio controlled look at 35 seconds into the video you'll see the fishing line holding it he is pulling it with fishing string

  • thats not radio controlled look at 35 seconds into the video you'll see the fishing line holding it he is pulling it with fishing string

  • @justinsmw747 The U-16 is not Pinocchio, it has no strings. The only thing I can see is a scratch on my plastic fish tank that my son made With the rock.

  • Funny

  • HAHA, pretty funny! Nice!

  • how does it dive?

using paddles(?) or with boilancy(?) ??????

  • @atiseru it uses buoyancy. A piston goes up or down in a tube to let water in or to push water out. It worked pretty good.

  • @rcflyerJR

    thnx for replying;)

any idea where to buy it and how much it costs???

  • @atiseru You can get it @ Hobby-lobby com, there in tennessee. The U-16 is $50.

  • @rcflyerJR you should try install a mini cam in it so you can se where you go on a small screen^^

  • Is the controller waterproof?

  • @xPowerofwillx No the controller is not waterproof.

  • is the controller waterproof?? I dont think it would be but i really want to find an RC boat that has a waterproof controller with it. Or if I could buy a waterproof housing that would also be fine. Just wondering if anyone can help me thanks!

  • @MrAtomicBond The controller is not waterproof. I have not really seen the lot of waterproof controllers in a longtime. The controller for the U-16 is small enough to fit on a Ziploc bag.

  • @64runescape the songs are (Gorillaz) 19-2000 and (Enigma) Return to Innocence

  • lol FOOKING AWESOME!!! three thumbs up

  • Thanks ver much Captain! I enjoyed this nice clip very much ! How deep can this sub dive ?

  • @TIGITOE Two feet, but it went a little deeper then that in the video.

  • this is an awesome vid. surely this was a cheap model, right?

  • @DaveMatthewBandLover It was $50 Hobby-Lobby com

  • Great toy for my little son

  • Hey is the controller itself waterproof as well?

    Thanks!

  • @yatiraharoni The controller is not waterproof.

  • @rcflyerJR bummer.

do you know of any other submarines that can dive deeper but still at the same price range?

  • @yatiraharoni I have not really seen any new ones, there was one that was called the Explorer, it went down 3 to 4 feet deep. The U- 16 is more sub like. I got my U-16 two and half years ago and have been really happy with it, so I really have not been looking out for other Subs. Sorry

  • Mine got flooded because the rubber stopper in the nose below the lights was damaged and flooded the battery and motor compartment. Its been damp and wet inside for at least a month and i just now opened it up, i'm drying it with a big fan should it work again?

  • @F22RaptorDude Well that sucks about the sub! The batteries might be okay but the receiver and controller are above the batteries in the compartment that might be a bigger problem. Dude all I can tell you is to dry it out real good And cross your fingers. :-(

  • good video thanks.
