  • tail and front cover removed from RSW125 lol

  • Two stroke :(

  • Slightly more powerful and heavier then the Honda offering.

  • when MotoGP allowed 990cc 4 strokes to compete with the 500 2 strokes. Honda showed up with a 5 cylinder 990 which promptly won every race. The press, the teams, the manufacturers all hailed it as such an incredible, fantastic machine. 4 stroke was the future they said. All the while i'm thinking they needed more than DOUBLE the engine to finally beat the 500's! Needless to say the cost was astronomical, and now the entire MotoGP grids is only 17 riders. Honda is the reason for 4 strokes!

  • @2StrokeRacing2 It is not only Honda the reason for 4 strokes. It's the market since the vast majority of veicles on roads use that (superior)technology. I can still see 2 strokes' on chainsaws or cheap lawnmowers tho...

  • 125 in 2t i never forget it :(

  • What'd he say???

  • Grande W la MOTO3

  • :34... what??

  • SHOW THE BIKE AND HIDE YO UGLY FACE

  • Hahaha fully carbon fiber fairing + seat? How is this supposed to be cheap?

Dorna is making a grave mistake that AMA motocross already made. 4-stroke racing is MUCH more expensive than 2-stroke. Why is moto2 so "cheap"? Because the ENGINE IS SEALED and NO CARBON FIBER IS ALLOWED.

Do the same with 2-stroke gp bikes (much like the Rotax kart series), and the 2-stroke machines will be faster and cheaper, guaranteed.

  • 40hp, 92kg comparable to a 125gp?!?!?!

how is 55hp comparable to 40hp?

2 stroke make 37.5% more power at half the displacement.

moto3 is as big a turn off as finding out your girl friend is actually a transexual.

  • 2 Stroke all the way!!!......

  • I actually race in a super singles class (125cc 2stroke or 250cc 4 stroke), and the 4 strokes do well. If you take a 250cc mx motor and put it in a light, small chassis, it makes an awesome track bike. It's sad, but the 2stroke era is coming to an end, but it's silly to deny the fact that given enough development, a 4 stroke like this can easily wipe the 2stroke's ass. It's also a lot easier to ride with engine braking and a smoother power delivery.

Accept change people. It happens regardless.

  • @adesignrsa It's silly to deny the fact that given enough development, a 4 stroke like this can easily wipe the 2stroke's ass??? At twice the displacement maybe. Going 4 stroke is actually going backwards in technology. The 2 stroke is a much more efficient engine than the 4 stroke. Apply the same technology to both motors and match cubic centimeter to cubic centimeter the 2 stroke will always be nearly 2x as powerful.

  • @LordSamuelJ I'm afraid but you haven't got a clue of what an 'efficient' engine means. 4 strokes engines are more efficient than 2's, diesel even better, period

  • @gigizack 2 stroke direct injection makes the emissions cleaner than a 4 stroke and it has way less parts you have no clue what your talking about

  • 2 stroke 125cc will shit on that 4 stoke 250cc turd. My YZ 250 stock was keeping up and passing a YZF 450 with every aftermarket part installed. FUCK 4 stroke!!!

  • Why kill a perfectly good formulae to make it more expensive, complicated and unreliable?

Soo bored of watching bloody 4 strokes, I can stand next to a dual carriageway and listen to s*** like this.

WSB has 4 strokes covered (7 makes in first 7 places in last race)

MotoGP 2 AND 3 should be for proper racing bikes not tarted up road bikes.

  • 4stroke 250cc singles @ 40HP... i kinda like the 4stroke 125cc with 50+ hp

  • Thats correct...I don't like it.(4-strokers in racebikes)

I do like Nico Bakkers framebuilding though.

    He is a master.

By the way ,the motocross guys had to get used to it too.

But it seems the decided they donot want to anymore.

Twostrokes are on their way back as the favoured engine for their bikes.

I think that should be something to learn from.

  • Hey...

When I read and hear all those enthousiastic comments from the pro's and the officials..I was starting to think I am the only one who thinks this 250-4stroker marketing gig sucks.

But I am not the only one !!

Well mr. Honda and stupid officials...thanks for making a dumbass cuprace out of our GP worldchampionship.

And stop the lies ,please...just say you hate 2strokers.

  • i agree about the 2 strokes but that thing would still be fun as hell

  • that bike is a shit in front of 125 2t

  • 250 4 stroke prototype= 50 HP!

  • actually a 125 is putting out about 50hp currently

  • Can't wait for moto 3. I am racing a 250 gp mono in Australia and am going to do my best to get a wild card ride for 2012.

  • 58 seconds?? Why??

  • "higly expensive 2stroke machines", when the 4 strokes are a lot much more expensive... CLOWNS! CLOWNS! CLOWS! 4 stroke: heavier, more expensive, slower... Where's the good side? :-)

  • @karolissickb0y emissions. all the crazy environmentalists don't want 2 strokes because they run very dirty. i don't see how a few 2 strokes racing makes a difference but thats what they want

  • @peavyt15

Are you very sure about how much the real race 4strokes are clean? They too burn oil (in a different way, but they do), different temperatures also has their influence.

The "dirty 2stroke" is all junk, look at the E-Tec engines (direct injection 2 strokes with near no oil burn).

2 Strokes are too cheap, too good... ;-) That's not good for the big business plans ;-)

  • 2strokes are "nearly obsolete?" since when are faster lap times obsolete? This whole "4 stroke revolution" has me sick to my stomach

  • Blegh his voice sucks BONKERS!!!

  • That's just bonkers

  • Yeah, wtf?

  • Nico bakker is a ingenious frame builder, and he deserves certainly more than this 58 seconds.....

come on, give us more !!!!!

  • come on CCM build a cafe racer like this!!!!!

  • FOOKIN BONKERS!!!!!!!

  • So MCN is back to posting vids with terrible sound quality. Bollocks.

  • "...the weight is argh2 pounds ..."

man, lose that thick accent !

  • Cheap? BS! The 125 2 stroke is so much better than this.

  • 250cc 4 stroke single cylinder?

reminds me of a Buell Blast although not 250cc

  • 45hp? The 125GP will give 54hp at the red bull rookie level. Just like the Moto2 machines, they will be slower than the one they mean to replace...

  • Looks like a very nice bike. But what has happened to GP racing? It's supposed to be prototype racing. Where are all the experimental bikes? I want no bars hold innovative race bikes like the old RC133 (six cylinder, 2-stroke, 250cc) and stuff like that.

  • @TotalNekro there trying to cut the cost factor at the moto gp level so less manufacterurs will back out of racing, there trying to do it at the top levels so the lower levels will have to follow suit, this aslo levels the playing field a bit so it's even more dependant on riding skills than what bike you ride, do i like it no to be honest but you never know it could make for even better races.

  • @watchtheworldburn0 But that is not what MOTOGP racing is! It's not some formula class. These new "based off" streetbikes class (moto2) are just marketing from Honda and the like.

  • Im verry proud to be dutch now :p bakker is awesome

  • Bonkers in me bonkers! Fiddledee dee! Bonker those bonkerey BONKS! Bonk me, them's the dog's bonkers!

  • hard to get what he's saying for someone not having english as mother tongue

  • HOLY BONKERS

  • Want !

  • holy shit... this bike is bonkers...

  • Havent got a scooby doo what he just said, bonkers?

  • @dmccfc1992 I dont think he has a scooby either but its definitely bonkers.

  • please could you speak more clearly... don't mumble

  • Thats the accent

  • 125 2 strokes allll dayy, go away moto 3

  • @binokoda if you dont like it don't comment on it, its going to be here in 2012 with 30 other bikes for years to come so get used to it

  • @blondboyharrison

Yes ,they said the same to the motocrossers some years ago.

Now ,after some very expensive learning years the twostroke is on its way back as the favoured engine for MC bikes.

Shouldn't the MotoGP learn from that ?

By the way ,nothing against Nico Bakkers craftsmanship...he is a master.

  • @emotracing It's been confirmed mate, 4 stroke 250's in 2012 will replace the 125's

  • @binokoda 250 where its at

  • @paladain55 250's are amazing especially disc valve equipped ones, perhaps in a way it's all relative to track size/length. sometimes I think we need new tracks, the bikes are rarely on full throttle now ( 4 stroke superbikes) Some of these tracks have been used so long now, perhaps some are inadequate for certain types or classes of racing? Debatable.

  • @binokoda true, i agree with you. i think they ought to try out some different types of bikes. i remember they isle of man tt bikes with 50cc 4 stroke or 2 stroke engine with like 12 speed transmissions that could hit 130mph. i think that would be really interesting, with a little bit tighter tracks. i think it would make racing more interesting because they would shift more often to keep it at full power, and make it more competitive

  • SWEET! Sure would be nice to see a 250 class in the USA with other machines besides the Ninja 250.

  • Why did it just end? It would be a good video if you had of shown it abit more.

  • excellent.
