Can you cut 2mm steel & aluminium sheets with this?

Aluminium in small slices (0,25mm) but steel NEVER.

I have a machine, belt drive on the X & Y, ballscrew on the Z & it can cut 3 mm aluminium & 2mm steel sheets as long as I go slow & do multiple shallow passes & cool the metal while cutting.
Mine will be mostly used for cutting PC case pannels.
Nice machine you have though, did you do a build log?
