@AznPuke ... ehm your holding it to low, or you use to thick paper (or there is air between the layers of paper) when you have to thick paper the egg can't adsorb enough heat, so the paper will (and burn), same goes with layers paper with air in between, the egg doesn't absorb enough warmth, but you're heating the airlayer, and it'll burn.

Things stick because of tiny pits in the cooking surface. Oil helps to fill in those pits.

It's like the thing with boiling water in a plastic bottle. The paper can't build any heat because it's transferring it to what's inside, and as the egg soaks through it, it's even less likely to burn.

You can light a fire under a dixie cup full of water, and... nothing.
