  • mythbusters tested the total velocity thing. myth busted! they dun really add up. they're doing it wrong.

  • One of my favorite moments in baseball

  • One of my favorite moments in baseball

  • the answer is simple: black guy, white guy....who do you think is going to go down??

  • @Venchi16 Oh really ????? I'd like to see black people play hockey !! One hit and Kobe would be down for the count....as far as being able to get hit, nobody does it better than rodeo cowboys, and I don't see many black cowboys !!! I've seen far too many black basketball players who go down with very little contact and can't get up. Sorry, but white sports players take a hit A LOT better than black people !!!!!

  • i was watching that game as it happened! it was crazy

  • Hahaaaaaar, 'check out' this spelling of Czech Republic at the start.

  • no wounder johnny damon sounds as if he has a brain injury.

  • johny damon the benedict arnold of major league baseball

  • Holly shit...Jackson actually caught the ball...thats amazing despite the circumstances...

  • it was rough i was even there when it happened. it was fucking scary!

  • shut up

  • yeah and he would like randomly black out

  • And he has absolutely no memory of that game whatsoever...when he wrote his book, he was just watching the game on tv and writing down what he was doing. He still doesn't remember half of the games that happened after that. Ugh, and he played through migraines..you get bad ones after a concussion, sometimes they last a year.

  • the carlos beltran mike cameron collision was really scary too

  • that was unreal... it was a huge situaton too which made it even more eerie. it was like a one run game in the 7th or 8th inning of game 5 of the alcs.. i remember nomar sprinting from shortstop to throw the ball to second then he immediately looked down to tend them both. it looked so bad live that when they showed the slo mo replay it was almost the most grusome thing ive ever seen in sports. insane.

  • Johnny Damon's collision still scares the crap out of me, but not as much as the Cinagliearo moment. But anyways, I think that was the year the Red Sox became to be.

  • well now us Red Sox fans know why he made the retarded move of going to the yankees.

  • Not only is the collision itself scary but everyone's reaction is awful to. The fans, the players were absolutely terrified...

  • even though is he collisioned with damion jackson, well nomar got the out at seconed base

  • ive done thAT before. i was jumping to head a ball and so was my friend and our heads smacked. hurt sooo bad. i got a huge swoolen eye and his skull-forehead was bleeding like he was stabbed

  • that is terrible i feel sorry for that dude

  • agreed i used to care for him, Now... fucking hate him, but whoever it was you gotta feel bad.

  • That was horrific. Absolutely horrible. I saw this last night while watching American Idol,nd they showed it right before David Archuleta sang his first song and I changed the channels to AI and I just could not enjoy David as much because I felt sick to my stomach. I'm a Red Sox fan, therefore I hate the Yankees but this... Wow.

  • Okay, this is going to sound crazy but I had the same exact experience! Obviously that was a while ago but wow! As a Red Sox fan I... well, you know... but I am sooooo releved that he's okay. Definetly one of the scariest moments in sports!

  • That was insane.

It's weird going back to a time when I cared about Johnny Damon

  • that must be a one hell of a hit

  • that must be a one hell of a hit

  • Johnny Damon said that he had such a bad concussion that he actually thought that he walked off the field instead of being carted off like he really was.

  • johnny damon also thought that he was still with the oakland a's when he got up from the concussion.

  • he couldnt remember how many outs or what the count was for weeks after he came back

  • i heard he had headaches for 8-9 months after the collision as well

  • ima catcher

  • ouch.... if i was ver playin baseball, i always wanted to play outfield. but sfter watchin this, I don't know what's scarier, infield or outfield.

  • i start at left field i hope this never happens to me

  • I read Johnny's book. He said when they were actually leaving the stadium, to make matters worse, the IV cord thing that they put in your wrist got jammed in Johnny's wrist and got stuck when the ambulance hit a bump...OUCH!!!

  • If you'll remember, it was his throwing arm, too.
