  • My mom likes this track !

  • 11 dislikes? whoever disliked this literally must have just looked up any phish video purely to dislike it without listening to it and stumbled upon this one. I dont care what music you like or dont, you have to respect something like this. I am a huge death metal fan, big hip hop fan, and i fucking dig this. I wish people would stop being so goddamn dismissive.

  • @suefracc Yeah, totally. Anyone who doesn't like what you like is being dismissive. Your opinion is the best. Listen up everyone: if you don't like the same stuff that sufracc likes, you are being too "goddamn dismissive", and you better shape up.

  • yeeeah.... 420!

  • I want 90's phish back:( but I know it will never happen. I hope they are getting back into a new groove now. Pretty damn sure they are

  • @hitsfromthebong557: agree completely about the 90s phish - they do seem to really be getting back into it though - took about 2 years but they are getting there - I like to say that Trey is finally getting his fingers back

  • @bmcelvan I never saw them in the 90's personally. Heard loads of archived shows though. I'm going to see them this summer so I can clarify on it but yes I do think you are correct. He seems to be getting back up on the horse(no pun intended). Let's hope it's just the metaphorical horse and not literally horse otherwise phish is doomed.

  • OK well go & watch your boyfriend take a shit you stupid fucking hippy faggot.

  • @inkspike Wow can you say homophobe? Ive been keeping it pretty clean, seemed to hit a pretty soft spot . Jeez man. Thing is the majority of homophobes have underlying homosexuall tendencies and urges themselves, and the bashing on gays is (usually) a sub conscious defense mechanism in an attempt to "cover up" thier own extreme sexual insecurities and many times just the fact that they cant accept who they really are...

  • @RandalPMcMurphey Go fuckyourself dickhead.

  • Holy S*$#@ that was Funking EPIC!!!

  • All the hillbillies are shitting their overalls

  • Funkiest fuckin funk shiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!

  • 9:06 Fishman!!

  • when hes playing guitar it looks like he is trying to take a shit lol

  • @anthology31

How do you know what a man looks like while shitting?

  • @inkspike Whoa bro it was just an (actually kinda funny) comment. Jeez. Seems like u took major offence to that, WHY?

Cmon man people who feel it's thier responsibitly to defend Trey whenever any kind of "negative" comment comes up is just really really confused (or in love). Dude Trey and Phish are just a bunch of weird guys, he woulda def got a laugh from the poop post, just hope u have an open mind enough to someday realize waht the Phish is (was) REALLY all about. Best of luck!!!

  • @RandalPMcMurphey

Thanks for the groovy comment man! you are really a hip cat.

  • @inkspike THanks dude! U r a dude right?, i think u might be the only non-blind man in America that doesnt know what a guy's face looks like when he's tryin to push out a big ol log. How do u go to the bathroom?, or do u have some kinda wierd phobia or something? Strange

  • @RandalPMcMurphey You think that it is odd that I don't know what a man looks like while shitting? And you want to know how I go to the bathroom? Yeah.......I'm the strange one.

  • @inkspike Wow man r u still serious? Yes I find it VERY odd if what you say is true, and yes I am a pretty ODD person myself... ur a weirdo bro, in the not cool way

  • uggghhh

  • delicious!

  • Smooth jam.

  • SICK!!!!

  • up the rigging, taking sail, mind the skipper, will not fail!

  • I drove pretty far just to see them play this mini gig. Worth it. I love Neil Young but the place was dead all day until they hit the stage and the pavilion just flooded with kids and it was on.....for a moment. Awesome moment in Phish History. This song has been in my head the last few days. I already feel the one coming on this MSG run :) I feel the winds.

  • @smokeasomeweed reggae nowadays is awful look at bands like slightly stoopid it is full of white people trying to be jamaican. reggae is great but nowadays it consists of lots "rastas" by rastas i mean kids who say jah and shit like that and smoke weed and wear the colors of the ethiopian flag. all a bunch of wannabes if you ask me

  • @ferdon66 haha come on i have dreadlocks and smoke herb everyday. i agree with you though i haven't heard slightly stoopi but i think reggae isn't the same as bob marley. It is such a simple music but ziggy marley is definately playing reggae amazingly. when i went to his concert i thought i was at a bob marley concert it was insane. Some people think im trying to look jamaican with dreads but rasta is just being natural; not eating meat, milk, any of that bullshit; it isn't just for show

  • YEAH! Absolutely adore the intense funk of the Black Eyed Katie.

  • Gave me Chills brrrr

  • i freaked out a little but i just don't like too much guitar because i think the guitar is like a weapon so you can't over use it or it loses it's power. bob marley said once that he could never see himself as a hero even after all he did for the poor people who couldn't speak for themselves. this proves that no body should be looked up to as superhuman becasue there is already living ENTITIES for that brain slot but they aren't photosensitive. One God One Aim One Destiny- One Universal Harmony

  • @smokasomeweed but the guys of phish are all musicians. they all play each other's instrument. they are all good at what they do. if you listen to the music the guitar might be the loudest, but the bassist is great at what he's doing and the drummer.... i mean, just listen. All the guitar is is just the loudest, not necessarily the best.

  • funk is a reggae rip off!! they just play the guitar and thats it. bob marley knew you need brass, bass, high snare, wawa pedal, and guitar for imitating the heart beat.MOST IMPORTANT, VOCALS. music is fucking mathematic so anyone who runs from there parents and thinks that music is an exclusive thing is gonna see the face of death. there are far too many people now a days who think that there music that they LIKE is the best but NO ONE is cool cause everyone was once a baby haha

  • @smokasomeweed dude what? this does not make sense? why would you tell people not to make music? do you have any love for the art or are you just a douche?

  • @seanyt003 I'm sorry if i came across like that. i didn't smoke any herb the day i wrote that so i was a little jumpy but i just like how bob marley put EQUAL emphasis on drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and brass. but i am no judge all i know is that really long guitar solo's are irritating for me but everyone is different. if music makes you feel positive and righteous then here is nothing wrong with it

  • @smokasomeweed i love bob marley but i love phish too, not sure if they can be compared but hey i know what an herbless day can do

  • @smokasomeweed

Bass is like the most important instrument in Funk

  • this is funk-love-groove

  • DANK!!!

  • Thank you phish for getting me through this terrible rainy day :)

  • @wartfacedfreak Ya' just don't get it do ya buddy! This is one of those jams that just can't be duplcated..........

  • @wartfacedfreak Ya' just don't get it do ya buddy!

  • Amazing stuff! One of the best Moma Dances I've heard I think. Right on track.

  • yea I doubt CMT has ever had their face phunked like this before

  • i think the lyrics are pretty lame

  • What a gem this show was. Thanks so much for posting. Fish does indeed OWN.

  • @RampantObesity couldn't have said it better myself, at least not without resorting to profanity. why in the world would ppl want to sit and watch vids of bands they obviously don't like? and @ diatroptoff94, that would be the great trey anastasio. i think it's worth noting that they had just started really delving into funk not long before this, and they had already nailed it. absolutely amazing.

  • the key changes in the first like 4 minutes are all so ridiculously fluid and synchronous. these guys are mad tight

  • The intro is totally hendrix style man

  • i guarantee this is the grooviest cmt has ever been.

  • @thedadsnitch

    hahahahahahaha

  • @thedadsnitch word brother - nice to read your post

  • this has got the groove to make you move. whoever this guitar player is hes got the feel!

  • @diatroptoff94

    Trey Anastasio

  • Woah, it sound like there are way too many trollers out there. Just go to a video that you perhaps enjoy watching... Please. I'm tired of the crap you guys give phish.

  • @pepieski123 "Why phish on cmt?" because 12 years ago CMT was hosting the Farm Aid concerts maybe!? which had all kinds of musicians and bands

  • THIS IS GROOVE

  • @pepiesxi123 I WROTE THAT

  • THIS IS A WAY OF LIFE!!!

  • this is a nasty moma look how much fun they were having during this, im jelous

  • Dan, totally agree with you on early Zappa. Hands down the best. Funny, I was just biking around Merriweather this evening thinking about the Phish concert. I have been a musician for 45 years and I am not jealous. I just totally don't get it. Apparently that's my bad. I'm actually kind of surprised my comment even surfaced anywhere since I posted it several months ago. Peace mon.

  • phish, the best song writing musicians to ever step on a stage, no one compares to their level of talent and creativity. The only man who was better is now dead, his name was Zappa. Most people who are haters of Phish are either A) not musicians or B) musicians who are jealous so they have to find a reason to hate them.

  • wtf, y phish on cmt?

  • The moment ends

  • ill never forget the moment i first heard this song in 98......program repeat

  • trey looks pissed while fishman sings (like he wan't supposed to)......................its probably just me. But look how he stomps the pedal atleast

  • @rwk1983 nah Fish sings lead on this song...but like someone on here has already said whoever had the board screwed up MAJOR ....listen how weak Fish's vocals are at the start..and Trey's is strong and loud....as for the stomping.........that's just Trey getting down ;-)

  • Phunky

  • @MrJas1991 Yes?

  • so happy they're back in action! I also read that they aren't planning to stop touring for a while!!!!!!!!

  • This is Phuckin' Awsome!!!

  • trey is getting so into the groove.

  • mchadeath no thats the dead

  • wtf is phish doing on cmt.

  • @giffdmb Opiates.

  • @giffdmb jammin'

  • Im form Uruguay and I love Phish !!

    Montevideo - Indio, CA !!!

    <o(((((<

  • what thetravellinminstrel is trying to say is you have to be brain dead not to like this music

  • @SativaBeliver Or brainwashed

  • bet that guy who was calling out "moma dance" was happy lol

  • @DopeCoozie2 Lol I was thinking the same thing!

  • what is farm aid?

  • The Moment ends, The Moment Ends...weee

  • Man this really sounds like an old Robin Trower jam.....sweeeet beats ;-)

  • Oh man! I got so high with Trey once it was great! I too love the oxycontin so much. Phish is great!

  • o.o

  • you guys are just posers. get a life. still, their music is good. but it's not the dead nor the allman bros. never will be. i hate phish fans that take themselves so goddamned seriously. it's just a fucking band.

  • @sullivangang because they are better than both those bands, sorry you don't get it. its not that serious either just simple

  • @rrtierney hold on here, i love phish, phish is awesome and they totally blow me away but dont jump ahead and say they are better than the dead. shouldnt even compare just enjoy both. that sullivan guys a dick head tho

  • Comment removed

  • @sullivangang

they have more musicianship then both bands under their belt. Listen to Foam and i guarentee neither the dead nor allman bros could ever play something that difficult. Their composition skills are divine. The play in every key and in every mode, and arent limited to blues jams or simple grooves.

  • @sullivangang : sorry dude have to disagree about Allman brothers. Have Seen ABB at least a dozen times and they are great but not nearly like Phish (I compare when both bands are on.) Mostly I say this because ABB are blues Jams and that's about it - Phish can and do play EVERYTHING! I don't compare phish and the dead - it's just not worth it but the dead can play a ton a genres as well!

  • @bmcelvan haha man ABB are a completely different ballpark than phish. don't try to compare son.

  • Fish is in the zone here. Might be a little blazed too considering Willie Nelson is in attendance and he always has some good stuff.

  • @axwell21 lolol i laughed. so true. fish owns

  • you fucking go, Jon.

  • soud´s like porn music jajaja

  • going to atlanta....and they better give up the moma at one of those shows...

  • Yes, I saw them this weekend and just don't get it. On the other hand, the crowds were absolutely awesome and it was a wonderful party. I suppose the plus to the band live for me is really the crowd that shows up to watch them.

  • @zeromeobass I feel that way about some jam bands (Umphrey's, Cheese) but Phish is SO INCREDIBLE, especially live. But I respect anyone's opinion bc I hate when Cheese fans freak on me for not loving them. Incredible crowd at both Um and Cheese shows but I just can't get behind the music. PHISH ROCKS!

  • @whitneyOU Yeah, that's a fair enough response and the quality of your response (without profanity, flames, blabla) is much appreciated. The crowds, as I said, were wonderful and I suspect you're among the good people that attend. Enjoy the shows--the audience is everything at a live gig...

  • @whitneyOU i tried all jam bands for years, but i've realized phish is the only one really worth anything. they are unbelievable

  • @rrtierney yeah they're great. so glad they're back and sounding as good as they ever have!

  • @zeromeobass it took me a really long time and now they are my favorite. its a completely different way to listen to music, you have to give your ears a break

  • @rrtierney Gotta say that Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers always seemed like the ultimate jam band to me, but that's obviously not gonna happen again.

  • @zeromeobass i'm gonna lay it down for you man. i loved the gd and allmans but didn't really care for phish. it took me about 6 months of trying them over and over again to really "get it". harry hood from a live one did that for me, it all made sense to me. phish jams had such an incredible sense of direction that i think grateful dead jams just never had. obviously gd from 1970-77 was unreal, but phish's jamming conversation and themes that they work with is just so much more impressive.

  • @rrtierney thats b/c jerry was a noodler. loved to noodle around, Jerry. Miss him

  • @zeromeobass also i wouldn't consider phish, the dead, or the allman bros jam bands. when these bands were forming the term "jam band" didn't exist. these 3 bands just completely did their own thing and made their own place in music, i don't think they deserve to be lumped in with "Jam bands" who all kind of just became the same thing. jamming songs relentlessly with their given genre of music. phish, the dead, and the allmans knew when to jam and when not to. the disco biscuits and moe. DONT

  • @zeromeobass if you dont get it then dont call them an atrocity, they are super intelligent, try listening to songs like divided sky, foam, and reba, and listen from the compostitional side of it, not weather or not its simple and catchy. Theyre slick as they come and play almost all genres of modern music. Thats why people love them, because theyre more talented than any band out there.

  • HELLO EVERYONE

(MPhish, Umphreys mcgee, frank zappa, king crimson, led zeppelin, classical composers, jazz composers etc.)thx for the help

  • I'm sorry but this band is an atrocity. Love the crowds though--some beautiful people there who leave a wonderful vibe.

  • @zeromeobass have you ever seen them live?

  • I wish I was there!

  • WEW! Remember the first time you felt the funky sounds of Phish phlow through you? I haven't so much as put a phish cd in the player in about a year. That was like the clouds parted and the sun shone down on my phace for the phirst time.

I agree though, I wonder at what point the soundman should've realized, hey Trey is dancin and groovin way too much to be singing. Mike is obviously not singing this....I wonder if it's Fish?

  • Stupid Youtube is taking forever to load this and I can't wait to see it from reading the first 10 pages of reviews....Hurry up and get on my computer Trey!

  • This is fantastic...
