lol i believe the football looking face mask type deal served the same purpose as the plastic guards they use today for like broken/fractured jaws. cuz honestly....same with #9, how is that supposed to protect you in any way from a puck hitting you in the face haha. but they were all pretty hideous. interesting vid

wow those are some ugly ass helmets. A couple of them had what looked like football face masks WTF? One of them looked alot like a karate tournament helment that they just slaped hockey logos on hahaha. Just a flat piece of clear plexiglass as a goalie mask holy shit what was he thinking? Should have just gone with the old school "Jason" style goalie mask Johnny. Wait those didn't come into to play until like early 70's? I don't know who cares.
