A word to those of you considering these units (I know that's you), I recommend 1,000 times the 1d. However, I can't say the same about the 1m. You should know the issues that the 1m has. I own a 1d but was fortunate enough to be able to try a 1m.
The faders' responsiveness was not up to par and felt slow and lagging, the unit would randomly shut off or become unresponsive - prompting a software, darouter (proprietary driver software), and unit restart. This happened ESPECIALLY often whenever someone turned a light in the room on or off. (weird, yes. But this has been a common issue I'm not
sure why) These may be issues that can/have been fixed, however they were big
deal breakers for me because even if the 1m can start up rapidly it doesn't make up for the fact that it is shutting down often. As good as the 1d is, my personal opinion is that the 1m is a step backwards and shouldn't replace an analog mixer (I got a djm 700 instead :) ) And if you would like some midi mixer controllability there are mixers (like the djm 7/800) that can offer that as well as normal analog functionality. I'm sure others have had other experiences but that's just mine.
2.26 "you can see the scratching response is really decent"... where as spinning the record 2.32 is lagging so much i laughed my ass off.

I have that product, and I must say, its beta. you cant use it with two decks and stanton is not able to say when it will be possible.
Quality is not what you expecting for that money, somewhere between M-AUDIO and vestax.
Not real MIDI, building your own preset is highly complicated.
Scratching is fine. The Idea is good, but it isnt a product ready for the market. I would not buy it again! More Info you find in the stanton forum.
