There has got to be a safer way to build these trampolines, with more padding around so they don't have to just fall on people if they go out. But way to go to the spotters, they do one heck of a job trying to protect the athletes!!

iv been doing trampoling for about 3yrs now but stoped going but i have never had a major injurie these people are good they just need more spotters around the bad so they can catch them properly...to minimalize injury...well done to the gymnasts in this video for their amazing summys !!!....:)

I definitely agree with that. I don't understand why they think sliding a paper thin mat in the general direction of the athlete is going to absorb that kind of impact. Foam seems more reasonable.

i never understood why they don't make trampoline a bit more safe. In our gym, the trampoline is on the floor, there is a hole underneath it. This makes it a bit safer cause u don't fall from such hight... It is just funny how they have to catch them with mats. How do they solve this in training? I don't train trampoline, we just have it in our gym.

Dude no offense but your comment is a very valid comment but its just the mats that they throw in actually do stop injury and do reduce speed XD I should know since i am a competitive trampolinist my self. And if u surround the trampoline with mats that still leaves the problem that the metal skirt that surrounds the trampoline can still cause injury one of the main reasons the man with the mat is there is to put added protection between the metal and the trampolinist. So mats probs wont help.
