hi thank you for your video. i had a hard plastic case on my iphone 4. i had reboot it an everything an then i came across this video. i took the hard case off straight away an what do you know the bars went from no service to 5 bars thank you very much i was ready to throw my phone out the window.

Ive restored my iphone twice on the 4.3.5 firmware, i have a MC model iphone 4, and ive had "No Service" or "Searching..." for almost over a week!!! i need serious help. i reset my network settings, turn on & off airplane mode, turned off 3G & wifi, restored it from DFU mode, AND got a new sim. still nothing. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP :(

@DistrictOfCriminalz if your iphone is jailbroken and you use gevey card to this:

settings > phone > sim applications > gevey sim (or similar) and change language to english. after that follow the instructions.

Hey thanks, everyone has said up to now that the problem is caused by covering the antenna when in fact (as you pointed out) it's caused when both antennas touch. I'd rather have a small piece of tape than a bumper so thanks again for the info. :)

Why Didn't this happen to me i take the iphone 4 at the apple stores and made calls and i wasn't dropping calls and my hand was completely over the antenna and no bars went down but one and thats normal i loose one bar a lot when covering my phone and I wonder why it wouldn't drop ? I still think i might buy it i would cover it anyways they have leather cases that look really nice! So I guess my problems are solved i would just check out the other problems!!!
