in the Black Edition you can have a black cloak and cowl instead of white one, thus making you look a little like Batman or at least the main baddie in "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm."
:P Just saying what I read is all. No need to start dropping acronymed F-Bombs. Also, I checked it out today and the major difference is that there are 2 extra maps than the standard edition (1 more than the pre-order one). So it's kinda like the black edition has DLC content already in it.
oh, and I remember what I was referencing now: with the Black Edition you start off with Altair's armor, which is completely black and gives you a huge health boost and never needs repair. You can get once you're part of the way through Venezia if you keep up with the Assassin disks that unlock the armor.
Thus transforming a renaissance assassin into Batman
