@kingjames878 I believe that it was out of respect that they slowed down the match considerably as to not tarnish Andre's image, as Baba had a TON of respect for Andre. He was on crutches at Clash of the Champions 92, so the fact that he was walking without them is a marvel itself, at least in my eyes.
Well the stages of Andre's disease were clear 84 he gained so much weight,85 he could no move quickly,86 he developed a stooped limp to his walk 87 he wore singlet tights to cover his back brace,88 he couldn't even do a simple move (Remember that awful suplex he used on Hulk to win the WWF Title? 89 he lost matches under a minute to Ultimate Warrior he moved to tag team.90' he took time off,91' he was just in Rockers,Bossman,Bushwackers&Jake's Roberts corner running interferance at house shows.
What I understand is that Giant Baba hired Andre out of respect and even paid him top dollar for his matches. His final match was on 12/13/92, I believe that this was his second to last one. Thank you very much for posting this I have been looking for it for a long time.
Wow...Andre shouldn't have been in here. He looked horrible. After seeing this, I'm not surprised he died nearly 2 months after this. The guy looked like he could hardly stand, let alone, walk, and every movement seemed like a huge effort. Thank you Andre, for the memories.
@JOSHSKORN Not to be that anal retentive douche who nitpicks, but he actually died the following month in January. But you're right on every other count. I had no clue he was still wrestling so late in '92.
Man, Andre was in such a terrible state, that at 6:02 he couldn't even properly perform something as simple as the 'Butt Bump' on Eigen when he goes for the waistlock. I agree wholeheartedly - the only reason Andre was in there at all at this stage was sheer passion. God bless him. At least he still tried to have fun with it.
Andre must've loved wrestling so much to be in this match in the condition he was in. Most of the WWE guys are out for 6 months if they stub their toe
It's a crying shame the condition that Andre was reduced to by the end of his life. But I can take comfort in knowing that Andre did not suffer for long after this.
all of them r moving like andre wtf
