Pre-ordered one of those harps as a Christmas gift for my husband about 2 years ago. My husband never got his Christmas gift and now, I'm out $200 after receiving an email from Harrison Harmonica (Brad Harrison) that he had sold the company and would not even disclosed the business he had sold it to in that e-mail. Nor did he offer to refund my hard-earned money either. What a disappointment.
I have a BRADICAL and is NOT RADICAL AT ALL , I feel that i wasted my money , I Had to resend my harmonica for overblows and overdraws , and the funny thing is that when I resend my harmonica (after one year and one month of waiting )after that I resend like i said the the reeeds were backwards!
wahtever now I have it back and I cant play OB 4 and when I play OB 5 and cant blow or draw sometimes and i just feel so frusteated.
brad harrison of harrison harmonicas is a really bad person to have as an employer! he would lie to your face to get you to do what he wants. the man has no moral character he treats his employees like crap and loves to point out the unemployment rates, as he cuts hours and pay.he also hires scab workers when pay cuts are not agreed upon.....btw brad i got my unemployment pay despite your attempt...jerk
Ronnie Shellist was singing the praises of this harp, and certainly is sounds sweet. I've got myself a few Suzuki Manjis which I think are fantastic. Is this Harrison that much better than a Manji?
I reckon you could make any harp sound unreal, be cool to see you compare a stage 3 Joe Spiers marine band with the B rad, I like the sound from a marine band its unique especially when tweaked.
Kinda gets to the overdrive powerband quicker when miked up if you know what I mean, hope you make it to Australia soon, I'm in 4 a masterclass workshop all good energy to you Jason.
@Santi2c yeah pretty much! It's funny you say that because I have one or 2 special 20's in the shower! Lately I haven't been practicing as much cause I am graduating nursing school here soon, but in a couple months when I'm graduated and stable in a job with no school, the sky's the limit when it comes to my amount of playing. Even could care less that my girlfriend's movin away. Playing harmonica brings me unspeakable joy. I just got a hohner crossover today though, BEAUTIFUL harp!
G'day Jason, love your work, and as has been said you could make a 10 buck harp sound great! I have recently got into the suzuki manji's and don't think I'll be buying any more marine bands as a result.
If I buy direct from Japan I can get them for less than what a MB costs; 180 bucks for a B Rad is a lot; how do they compare with the manji?
My ex got the bird, I have two cts and I do private lessons in Nashville all the time. Email me here and I'll send you a number if your interested! Thanks
But ultimatley you will save in the long run by not ever having to by another one and just replacing each (Easily by design) reed individualy for 1.00 a piece.
So Jason, compared to your Harrison Marine Band's, how's it compare in size, since the Marine Band is small. Got my first Harrison in A. AMAZING dude.
I can't wait to get me one of those! After this, hohner will have to up their game, I mean they sell instruments with great potential, but they ARE lazy in manufacturing. Good video!
Hi Jason , yes its a shame the outta box harps are sooo leaky , I always say its like drawing in a Thickshake through a milkshake straw , I wish Hohner would sort that out !!!.
Krizem, again this one was more obvious, but it's great your making these connections. Mind tricks no. Further education....maybe? Who knows maybe I'm just being a trickster.
Jason, yes, impressive, but you make them both sound awesome! How does it feel in your hands? Comfortable, natural, any need to adjust to the new shape and size?
Thanks man! Yes they the B-Rad is very comfortable. I could get use to in time, it is about the same if not smaller than golden melody in width and leangth. But Harrison will have other models soon including one by me.
That's awesome, I saw the picture of it on his site and it looked like it was huge, but really it doesn't seem to be all that much bigger than a GM. I wonder if it'll be in the same price range as his custom harps or if it will less since it's being produced on a larger scale, not that I'd mind paying more for a quality instrument. Anyways, I'm excited to hear it'll be coming out so soon.
Jason Ricci is a freaking loser for hanging out with Brad Harrison

This is a beautiful-sounding harp. I consistently go back to Marine Bands, but if Harrison ship to the UK I might have to invest in one of these.
And of course Jason, phenomenal playing as always.

But to be honest...Jason can make a plastic toy harp sound good...lol.
In the long run, much cheaper than what's commercially available now. Gotta get one. Amazing sound!

will the reeds fit MB'S ?

Hi Jason. What kind of tuning does the B-radical will have?
Gr,
Tom from The Netherlands
tomkh25 2 years ago
have you changed all your harps to b-radical yet?
szaman69 2 years ago
so cost analysis: $180 b-rad $30 MB
1 month MB - after a year that's $360
1 month 3 reeds ($2 per reed estimate) for B radical - after a year thats $180 + $72 for reeds = $250
So far I have gone through 1 MB a month. hopefully the b-rad lasts longer than I estimate!
B-radical would be cheaper.
The5kproject 2 years ago
@The5kproject 1 MB a month? I think you have a problem!

you cant compare a simple 25$ marineband with a custom harp... ;)
scootersalih 3 years ago
oh but its not custom! they are going to be like that out of the box! The competition will be done.
HendrixIsGod47 3 years ago
That IS the idea. And very little has been done to the reeds and more NOTHING that Harrison Harmonicas isn't already designing machine to do instead.

is it true they're going to be "mass produced"?
12gagedan 3 years ago
Very True should be over 100 units at SPAH this year and then in stores everywhere after that.

Stores everywhere does that mean they will be made for international stores too?
