I'm so happy Townes Van Zandt announced it was Peter La Farge who wrote The Ballad of Ira Hayes in a live version I listened too. Don't know if i would have came across this man if it wasn't for good ol Townes.
Wow!!! That is an amazing version from Peter. I'm so glad that I have listened to this and grateful for your posting of it. I do like it better then Johnny's version. But I'm glad they had a great relationship to write this for Johnny's album.
