  • epic making of an awesome episode of classic doctor who

  • how did you make it black and white please reply

  • @drwhofigures1 the extermination effect is just him putting the film into negative

  • how did you make the TARDIS console?

  • excellent work!

  • For your production of the 1,2 & 3rd Doctor's adventures, have you considered the long-stammer version for the TARDIS landing sound? Like the one used in The Invasion at the end?

  • is tht a classic TARDIS Playset ?

  • @drwhotoyreviewer11 No, unfortunatley it isn't a playset, Matthew made it on his own. It would be excellent if it were a playset though!

  • i know u get it alot but u should try doing recons

  • where did u get the set

  • egon spengler!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wait, were those action figures? Shit, I almost thought this was a real episode.

  • can you e-mail me the music clip of when ian, babs and the doc find the factory?

  • Thats really excellent work there I cant believe the quality

  • He called Ian "Chesterfield" instead of Chesterton! And had to get his line, Gravity, Gravity is... ! LOL

  • Can you make a time war movie, with figures? Please????

  • @DoctorWhoCenter2010

    That would be impossible.

  • YOUR THE BEST!!!

  • your mad! Susan left in The Dalek Invasion of Earth. Too soon for another dalek episode. But still its excellent

  • @RogamaFilmXtra still after the jon pertwee frointier in space there was planet

    of the daleks-so there!

  • @RogamaFilmXtra Still after frointier in space was planet of the daleks

so basically something occurs before this,so there!

  • You did an excellent job of capturing the look and feel of the Hartnell era here. Great work!

  • Brilliantly done.

  • what program did you use to make the figures move plz rply!

  • Sony Vegas Pro. 8

  • @batmanmarch thats funny because I use that and you have way better effects!!!

  • how did you get the st johns ambulance logo on the tardis

  • great sets

  • Hartnell's era was my favourite and you have it exactly right, like the cardboard effect of the factory, and how everyone says yes every five minutes.

  • very good have you seen my doctor who vid

  • this is the best one ever, the daleks rule like batmanmarch or shud i call him matt?

  • This video is not working--it won't upload. What happens in the first part.

  • Try it now, its working

  • Excellent Story

  • Well done! You have beautifully captured the feel of the original show with the style of camera work and effects. I look forward to more adventures in the classic original style.

  • bravo whats the tv screen in the tardis from?

  • Love The Tardis & Ian Custom I'm Going To Make One For My Bill Story Called Revenge Of The Daleks If Thats Ok With You

  • One question, as your story is set around (In transmitted order) late 1964, when did we actually hear the TARDIS de-materialisation engine on the outside? Wasn't it early 1965?

  • Excellent work!

  • Thank you!

  • @batmanmarch love the black and white touch

  • im really impressed, youve actually given it the feel of the early doctor who. its made by somebody who really understands the subject matter.

  • Thank you! I love sixties Who, so it was a real pleasure trying to emmulate the feel of these early stories and in some cases introduce this type of Doctor Who to those who have never had the chance to see it.

  • @batmanmarch

What can we spend the points on? ;)

  • Very nicely done. I'm working on my own Dalek inspired series at the moment, so I appreciate all the hard work you've put into this.

  • Thank you!

  • well dun

  • Cheers!

  • briliant episode

  • Thanks!

  • very good part 1, well done

  • Thank you!

  • aaaarrrrhhh, the daleks killed peter parker!

  • I noticed that at one point the doctor mispronounced gravity paused and then said gravity properly

  • just like the real william hartnell then

  • how did you do the dalek voice

  • Using a ring modulator called HOG.

  • It's good that you chose William hartnell for the doctor because it looks great in black and white, It makes it more scary.

    fantastic voice's and great music!

not forgetting the sets which are brill!

  • brilliant as always

  • sorry for asking this but when you putting on part2

  • Each new video-episode of BatmanMarch's DWFAs are currently being uploaded on a Saturday.

  • hi batmanmarch i was just wondering where did you get the classic console? if you could tell me it would be very helpful in my search for one thank you and i really enjoyed the episode thanks again

    The13thDoctor95

  • Thanks!

  • Wow. That was fantastic. Excellent attention to detail - really captured the 60s spirit! :-)

  • Thank you!

  • did the walking stick that the 1st doctor is carrying come with the figure or did you do that yourself?

  • It comes with the figure, SuperBigBen10.

  • You could have used both of your daleks that came with the 1st doctor

  • Thanks! Part two will be up on Saturday.

  • there's one thing, did you use the black and white figures of william hartnell and the dalek controller, or did you use the colour versions and greyscaled the whole thing

  • I used the colour figures and filmed it in black and white.

  • sorry i woz watching the tv at the begining of the episode.

cant wait for the next story brilliant 1st part

  • OMG!!!! 1 of the best episodes ive ever seen on youtube

  • Thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • The Daleks could have attacked the ship that saved the crew in "The Metal of Power".

  • Great cliffhanger.

  • Cheers!

  • absoloutly brilliant.

  • Thanks!

  • That was amazing, well done Matthew

  • Thanks!

  • amazing, that was one of the best doctor who episodes you have done and do daleks say fire not exterminate

  • Thanks! At that point in time Daleks didn't say 'Exterminate' as much as they do toaday.

  • I much prefer saying Exterminate, Annihilate, Destroy! over just plain exterminate. Just doesn't have the same kick, but maybe that's just me.

  • so good it could be a real hartnelll episode infact it is just like one 5 stars and faviourte

  • Thank you!

  • v good

  • Cheers!

  • Great episode, the next one seems good but didn't you forget to say forbiden planet in your ending titles of where you got the figures from?

  • cool

  • Thanks!

  • cant wait till part to 10/10 5 starz!

  • Thank you!

  • This is wonderful, the trailer looked fantastic. But I love the pacing and animation. I didn't think drama would actually work in this style so well. Again, I would love to see a short scene or two done using a missing episode soundtrack. :)

Keep up the good work regardless.

  • Thanks!

  • One word FANTASTIC!!, seriously I don't think anyone else has captured the feel of the era, aswell as the voices, I still prefer you Tom Baker impersonation, but kudos on Bill's.

    keep up the good work

  • Than you!

  • Well done!!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Who said that William Hartnell died in 1975. This sort of thing made be dedicated fans show that he is just as alive in the minds and hearts of fans as David Tennent and Chris Eccelston. A great tribute to our Billy

  • Hear, hear. :)

  • I love Hartnell. He started it and paved the way for one of the greatest TV sucesses. I have a great deal of respect for 60's Who. Wonderful era.

  • Just marvelous! ^_^ Can't wait for part 2. Makes me want the Hartnell figure even more so, then again, all your videos make me want the figures even more. x)

Oh the days of the Short Circuit TV Scanner. How things changed. Sometimes I wish they used the Scanner in New Who. Well, I guess they have, but not much.

  • Thank you! I miss the scanner too. The little one on the console is pointless, they rarely use the thing!

  • Yeah it's basically just a computer screen like with those on the 80's console; I forget the layout of the TV Movie one. I didn't mind in the beginning because I started with New Who, but now that I'm a fan of the Classic stuff too, it feels kinda crazy that they never look before leaving the TARDIS. Then again, I think they somethings did in the Classic stuff too. :P

  • where did u get the backround of the inside of the tardis with the ring like pattern on the walls

  • I think he made it

  • Some of the walls are from the Action Figure Theatre site, while others are from a kit I bought.

  • i am very impressed with this episode keep it going well done. :)

  • Thanks!

  • fantastic episoad 5 stars you rock mate

  • Thank you!

  • FANTASTIC! 5starsandfaved

  • did u make the tardis console

  • Thanks! I'm using the colour 1st Doctor.

  • Great Job. Can't wait for part 2 :)

  • Thanks!

  • 1: he said susan instead of barbra.

    2: "the gravity...gravity is normal"

  • In the description he said he was trying to capture the Hartnell era, which had various blunders, so they were mean't to be in there.

Great episode, nice use of CSO . I can't wait for part 2.

  • Thank you!

  • i know, i was just randomly pointing them out.

  • yep sure did ...... isnt it just so realistic

  • great suspence!

  • Thanks!

  • Who plays Babera in this story??? Obviously it wouldnt be you, unless you have very good voice talents. Aha.

I love it. the eodctors concern for Susan is a rare treat. Fantastic stuff there!!! Well Done!!!!!!

    When is part 2 expected??

  • Thanks! My brother's girlfriend plays Barbara. Part 2 will be up next Saturday.

  • that was awsome!

    how did you get smoke?

  • I certainly do!

  • Absalutely great! Can't wait for part 2 :D

Will you be doing any 2nd Doctor storys aswell?

  • Thank you! A second Doctor story will be out on th 12th of September!

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • Thanks!

  • This is fantastic mate, very accurate! I really like the fact you put in a Hartnellism, something I didn't think would be included. Absolutely brilliant, 5 stars!!!

  • Thanks mate!

  • Wow! You've really captured William Hartnell's era very well. 5 stars. At the moment I'm really trying to get William Hartnell, and some spare Martha and 10th Doctor figures so I can make Barbara and Ian as well.

  • Thanks! Good luck with the Ian and Barbara customs.

  • that was really fantastic...

    very well done.

    cheers

    Bobby

  • Who know, it might catch on! Thanks buddy!

  • This was really great!

The B&W really brings out the 60's feel

    Jamie

  • Thanks mate!

  • I wanted your opinion on something:

I don't have time to make a Barbara custom, so i'll just be using Ian - would you or anyone else be interested in me doing a non canon story?

    Jamie

    Jamie
