@des9206 Uhh. yeah. I joind this band because I liked the music back then. I didn't care when I got the boot becuase they turned into greedy little snobs with crappy music.
Oh all right thanks for clearing that up. Just want to let you know that your contributions on "Enjoy Incubus" and "S.C.I.E.N.C.E." are kickass, just the scratching, mixing, and sampling really spiced up those albums and they definitely wouldn't have been the same without your help.
@des9206 Thank you... It's interesting that the fans of Incubus are so much more appreciative of my contributions to this band than the members and management who reaped the benefits of my hard work.
Hey no problem, I just pay attention to every little detail, every little but effective contribution you had to the band, I think your DJ work is what really made early Incubus stand out from other bands out there. Idiot Box, Redefine, and the part in A Certain Shade of Green where it says "Drop that bass" are great examples of your work. It's inspirational bro.
question?-not meant to be inflammatory but i am dying to ask--so why is it that everyone says that only crap gets on the radio and press and everything-and everyone mulls over their own 'better mall musak' with friends--but then good stuff gets played -and in public-- makes me happy-(although i am guilty of the wincing when 'my stuff' is everyones)- but still-- isnt it better to be flooded with good music during the day?- it should be like validation of good taste- not an insult or a let down.
yes. that was as entertaining as many 20/21 year old boys can be-but how the hell are they supposed to sustain that brand of energy?come on-and sure he's got a pretty thick head of semi curly hair-however-everytime i see the dreads i think-they needed to go-once his hair hit a certain length it looked so weighed down at the bottom that they literally pulled his hair straight at the top-he prob cut them off-well cuz it was just time.boyish charm and zest for life remain but growth is a good thing
Just because people aren't batshit about EVERY thing Incubus does, doesn't mean they aren't true fans.
You're supposed to like a band because they play music you like right? Well Incubus changed their sound quite a bit, and here you are calling people narrow-minded because they don't still love Incubus just because that's their name.
@1337RulerSean Agreed. I can't believe that Dirk Lance had such a great bass performance on Fungus Amongus/Enjoy and then totally seemed to sit back for the next few albums!
@dj1987com selling out is usually stealing another sound or doing what everyone else is doing to get more fans instead of this they created more of their own sound and matured more i can see how people think of incubus as sellouts but its 100% false
ur not the only one. i love all their stuff, and i think they r amazing... maybe i have a broader taste in music... incubus and slipknot r my 2 favourite bands...... & they play pretty different stuff.... lol
haha ^^ looks like if my band is playing ^^ i mean the crowd, the near to the people...cause there is no space to move on the stage ^^ xD and look at them now....i wish my band do this in ten years too ^^
I don't know if Black Heart Inertia is an incubus song, as I only like their first two albums, but I highly disagree if it is. Incubus showed ten times the talent in their first album. There wasn't one piece of their songs that wasnt unique. Their newer songs and albums, to me atleast, sound like everything else that's out there now. Seems, IMO, that Incubus de-evolved.

This video clearly explains two things.
1. Why I wanted to join this band.
2. Why I didn't care when I got kicked out.
