LH is one of the most expensive airlines in europe due to many reasons. Everything is for free on board, food, drinks, even liquors and snacks. LH has the youngest fleet in europe. of course its not like singapore airlines or emirates, but LH is one of the most popular airlines in the world. Young and motivated cabin crews and well trained pilots. 85% of their flights are on time and they flight routes are incredible.

yes , thats all true, had the chance to travel with Lufthansa during the 80s-90s, frank-lima always, the service was the best overall, from 1st to even the jump seat, funny things ! Still is nowadays too expensive to travel with, I would say Lan , Klm are kind comparable now, the service is great !

definitely true. The 747s are very outdated and with the a340s you have to be careful. the a340-300s dont have PTVs but the -600s do. Lucky for me lufthansa is using the a340-600 for their munich-lax route :)
