Korn was something I listened to to feel cool in 7th grade. This whole thread of comments is like listening to a bunch of hot-topic core idiots babbling about what shitty band should be in SH. Disturbed, Korn, Marilyn Manson? You guys think that will simply do when it comes to compensating for Akira Yamaoka? Go ahead and stop calling yourselves fans. If you're looking to add an eerie atmosphere, look at the musical stylings of Johnny Cash. Korn kids can go play COD and fap to Chris Redfield.

Im a huge fan of both Silent Hill and Korn, but I kinda agree with most people against Korn composing for the game but at the same time I kinda feel that they'll pull it off.. Although I really loved Korn's early material, and their new material is ok, but not as good as the old ones. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for Korn to make the theme song WORTH listening to and make it go well with the game.

Three: Howcome the Silent Hill Collection only comes with SH2 and 3? Why not the first and fourth? I've never played a Silent Hill game before so I'm getting the collection and Downpour to kind of get into it. The Metal Gear Solid collection is coming w/ 3 games. Why not SH?
@AzureKite619 It's because Korn is in no way ambient enough to do a Silent Hill theme. NO band should do it, because it's just Konami (American branch I believe) trying to make more money. Disturbed would ruin it just as much or even more than Korn. Just listen to the OST to the Silent Hill games. You'll see why us fans are pissed about it.
Listen to see you on the other side untitled or any of JD'S queen of the damned songs and they have this dark atmosphere of some sort, i dont know how will they do it with this game, but not likely to disappoint.
Oh, and FYI "Seen It All" by KoRn has ALWAYS reminded me of Silent Hill. They're not just "teenage angst"... you clearly don't know KoRn like us crazy fans do :)

Jonathan Davies is no doubt one of the worst people to ever write lyrics and the music itself does not fit silent hill in any way, shape or form. Everyone ar emaking fun silent hill and how konami has degraded it with shitty licensed bands like this. I don't even want my favorite bands in the game as they dont fit it either.

The movie is made by shitty people not even get the fundamentals of silent hill, No I listened to Korn when I was a kid like I just said if you bothered reading my post. The lyrics are shitty teenage angst crap and they don't fit silent hill, not the lyrics, not the music. YOU would know that if you had played the games.
@beckymunch17 If you liked the movie, then you can't say that Korn would fit, because they used music from the games only in that movie. Plus, Silent Hill isn't some game that a band should do music for. Silent Hill's soundtrack is only ambiance music (besides a few of McGlynn which fit VERY well into the games, because of her lullaby esque voice) , to accentuate the SILENCE and tension of the situation(s) the character is in. You should play games them before you make yourself sound ignorant.
