yea seriously, the US is one of the very few countries that regulates fishing enough to actually protect species....im from spain and go every summer, have to go 20 miles out just to catch fish in the mediteranean, and the atlantic over here isnt any better because everyone just fishes whenever they want and keep EVERYTHING!

Over 90% of the over harvesting was done over 15 years ago or more because there were very little, if any regulations to protect them. Over the last 10 years in the usa shark populations have "FACT" gone up. The regulations seem to be working, and people, well most people seem to be following them. These ppeople here aren't hurting anyting, so leave them alone...its the rest of the world outside of America that has the horrible fishing habbits anyway!
